I must be sincere with you, I aint comfortable with this match against Brazil, we shouldda taken things a step at a time. These Brazilians could deflate the little morale our team is trynna assemble so soon. Why not the likes or Denmark, Poland, Italy, Austria, Mexico, Columbia, Uruguay, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden or even a rematch with Croatia?

The u20 Elite league is not official. It is sponsored by the German Football Association. It is not a UEFA or FIFA tournament.

Eze is free. Nigeria can invite him for the Brazil friendly.

Wow I never knew oo. No wonder the teams participating are not up to 10. Make Rohr better respect his old age ooo

The English league system has been the most competitive for quite some time.

Huddersfield got relegated last season from the EPL and within 7 games they are second to the bottom if the Championship with Stoke now at the bottom.

What you will notice that these two clubs still have the larger part of thier squads from the EPL. The idea that you get relegated from the EPL and bounce back immediately is not so easy.

I feel sorry for Etebo because unless his team starts to perform it will affect hus rating as well. And it's difficult to perform if your team is not perfoming too.

Meanwhile Huddersfield got beat by Sheffield Wednesday with two Nigerian origin players in the defence. Moses Odubanjo at RB and Dominic Iorfa at CB his preferred position.

I dont understand why some peeps are panicky about the Brazil friendly. For me I think it is a good time to face them. I believe we can learn from the experience we get from the match irrespective of the outcome and that is all that matter.

Naah... it was Rohr himself who wanted African opposition against the November Afcon qualifying games. The interview is on this thread.

The Brazil friendly is awesome but I think the NFF should also get us an African team in same window too. Rohr mentioned that he hopes to get two games in October. Brazil is one. I hope a second one comes and I hope it is African.

In all, this is great. Even Brazil is excited to play us and Senegal. They refer to us as two of the very best African teams.

Just have a read of the details behind this friendly....

Brazil faces strong African teams in October

Brazilian team will play against Senegal and Nigeria at the National Stadium of Singapore, on the 10th and 13th

Senegal and Nigeria, two of Africa's main forces today, will be the opponents of the Brazilian National Team at the October FIFA Dates. The National Stadium of Singapore, reopened in 2014 with a capacity of 55,000 fans, will be the scene of the clashes scheduled for the 10th and 13th, at 8pm local time (9am Brasilia).

On October 10, 2019, the Brazilian National Team will play their first ever game against Senegal. Best African team in the FIFA Ranking, Senegalese are in the 20th position of the classification.

Three days later, on October 13, Brazil and Nigeria (33rd in the FIFA Ranking) face off on the same stage. It will only be the second major squad match against the Nigerians. The first was in 2003, with a 3-0 Brazilian victory in Abuja, the Nigerian capital. Gil, Luís Fabiano and Adriano scored the goals of the triumph.

The opposing teams come from good results in 2019. Senegal and Nigeria finished second and third respectively in the June and July African Cup of Nations. The choice is in line with the concept established between the president of the organization and the Brazilian National Technical Commission, to play against top 50 opponents of the FIFA ranking whenever possible.

"We chose two of the best African teams because they are high level confrontations and against a school that the Brazilian National Team has had few encounters in recent years. It was a wish of the Technical Commission, so we went after these opponents" - commented the Coordinator of the Team, Juninho Paulista.

Under coach Tite, Brazil faced only one African team. In November 2018, with a goal from Richarlison, defeated Cameroon. The match was held in Milton Keynes, England, and marked the season's end for the team.

This will be the second pass of the Brazilian National Team through the refurbished National Stadium of Singapore. In October 2014, also in a friendly period, Brazil defeated Japan 4-0, with four goals from Neymar, for an audience of approximately 51,000 people.
