Good morning my people, please I would like to know how best to tackle this refusal reason "employment prospects " I know the best way is to get a letter from employee that ones job would be retained, In my case it will be difficult if not impossible to get such a letter. Are there other ways I can tackle this

Good morning house, so I got was refused visa just yesterday after applying less than a month ago. its really painful to say the least, been refused a few weeks later isn't an easy thing to take but I'M gearing to make sure I do way better next time. I'd really need the assistance of the gurus in the house to show me where I need to step up. here's my profile:

First time applicant (Self Sponsored)

Applied on AUG 31st

Biometrics done on September 3rd

BVL and refusal on September 18th

That was fast. They probably spotted a red-flag in your application very early.

Hello Teematu,

As long as its in same school and course/program irrespective of the campus, it won't raise suspiciousness. The most important thing to consider is the validity of the admission letter. If the admission letter with the embassy is still valid, there won't be much of a necessitated need to send a new one except if the course/program changed too.

Good luck!

Do people get refused on Medicals? What is the purpose of medicals?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by electroTech: 10:43am On Sep 19, 2019
Frankrobbn1:

University of Victoria is a no go area for international Admissions and always come up with flimsy reasons after wasting an applicant's time waiting for an admission. I would suggest you check out Lakehead University or University of Windsor for MEng program. From my vast experience, I have noticed that applicants going to these schools (in particular U of Windsor) are mostly favoured in getting VISAS. Also the school is flexible in the sense that they have different start dates (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Another interesting part is that you DON'T need to secure a Supervisor kiss. So waste no time and apply for an admission.

All the best
Thanks bro. I'm grateful.

I am having issues with my medical result. I submitted my application online on August 2 and did Biometrics on August 6.
I did the test at IOM on September 3rd, upfront. And I was given an e Medical Information sheet which I was told to upload once the embassy notify me to go on with the medical test.
On request, IOM sent me my result last week and it's alright. My curious self called them this morning because there's no evidence on my visa application that I've passed the medical.
The IOM correspondent said I might be the one delaying myself as I'm supposed to have uploaded the e Medical information I was given. And that they already sent it to IRCC.
By the way, I've not been told to do the medical test. But there's no where to upload any document and there's still no cue that I did and passed the test.
Looks like I'm missing something.

Hello Pete26,

Sorry to hear about the decision meted on your application, i do hope you get it this time. There are certain things to be considered before being a self-sponsored applicant but not limited to finance. See below:

1. Level of establishment - economically and socially
2. Marital status and family composition
3. Reliable source of income - (other investments)
4. Available funds
5. Age (not necessarily/always applicable)

..from an analytical perspective of your available funds (whether or not you will require to include a co-sponsor in your realization):

6. The duration of your program
7. The cost of the program
8. Demonstration of how to meet the tuition fees & LE for the subsequent year

Thus, I will try to provide certain hints on assumption base, in absence of the/your notes. My first area of observation was your home ties and how you demonstrated the said property to the VO. The second area of employment situation is the aforementioned in numerical order. After you've re-assessed your previous submitted application, use the derived observations to connect what's amiss in your study plan.

BTW as for the gcms notes, third party sites are prohibited here.

Good luck!

It’s not necessary to state that the job would be retained. Just show that you are working no matter how small the salary. You could also volunteer or intern at a firm. There should be evidence of that.

Hello UBCcookies,

Find below a sample:

Date

To,

The Visa Officer,
High Commission of Canada.

Dear sir/ma'am,

Letter of Enquiry

The purpose of this letter is to enquire about the processing of my visit visa application to enable me attend a Christian conference starting on Bleep. I applied on Bleep and till date, I have not gotten any update on my application. I applied from Nigeria with the application number Bleep and UCI number Bleep, and my date of birth is Bleep.

The conference date is fast approaching and I intended to travel on Bleep, so I can meet up with the program. I kindly appeal for my visit visa to be swiftly processed, so I can make proper preparations ahead of my travel. I hope to get a positive feedback to this email.

Sincerely,

Bleep

Hope this helps!

Sorry for the late reply. I trust Naijaforeigner's post must have answered your query. Yes! you can from Nigeria provided you've an acceptance letter and currently enrolled in the DLI you're transferring to and also an evidence that you've withdrawn from the previous school.

@frankrobbn1, good day. Please i need your advice on how to go about study visa in Canada ,i just applied to a school but yet to get a reply. Can i apply to more than 1 school and how do i go about scholarship? Thanks

I think it's refering to your employment prospects when you graduate. How will your Canadian study improve your chances of getting a better job in Nigeria, especially given the significant financial cost involved?
