The SS is well stocked for me. Iheanacho is not getting games but his ability to fill in that role is never in doubt. But for now... he is not in the conversation. Musa can play the SS role excellently as he has shown before. Even Onyekuru can fill into that role... don't forget a Chukwueze too can play SS. So biko... SS is stocked with quality options. Let Olayinka and Sadiq keep doing good and make upgrades to better leagues too. Even if we invite them based on their European form, they still need to put in a strong/unique showing in the GWG and in the long run, upgrade their level of competitive football league-wise to keep their places on subsequent invite lists in tandem with decent performances. And please... Joe Aribo can play AM.. yes but he is not the natural AM choice option we seek. Let's not get ahead of ourselves thinking we are game in the AM role now. Reality is Iwobi is the only natural AM personnel we've got and his creativity is orgasmic. We need a player that emanates similar traits and Ebere Eze fits the bill. Aribo can only fill in the AM role to the best of his capacity but he is no AM... he is a bonafide super CM with the ability and intelligence to carry the ball, link defensive and attacking plays effortlessly thus making our transition plays so easy on the eyes plus he is a box to box Midfielder with excellent workrate. But he is not as creative as Iwobi or the options we are considering as Iwobi’s deputies. Aribo is not the long term answer to the question of who deputises for Iwobi. He is only an upgraded improvised option. But we badly need a "true" deputy... and it is important we put enough attention into solving this issue slowly turning into some sort of enigma. Icon4s: I would disagree with you albeit not completely. First of all when you have a player like Onuachu you must play to his strengths otherwise it's a waste of time and don't invite. We have neither given him enough game time and or played to his strengths. When you have a player with such aerial dominance and dominating hold up play. He needs crosses on the box for him to capitalise upon Our wingers unfortunately have a limited ability to cross the ball and or choose not too instead seeking self centred glory for themselves cutting in and making wayward shots. |

Icon4s: I really am disappointed that Ebere Eze was not invited the term being used here is that he can deputise for Iwobi. That may be true but one thing Iwobi lacks is a hot shot and he has scored in Everton at by his standards now a phenomenal rate. His goal rate is not prolific. I think Eze who can shoot instinctively with real venomous accuracy brings that to the SE. I would add ruggedness and a good degree of trickery and skill. I don't know what we are waiting for. |

Icon4s: I can not see the DIE in this squad. In the defense, I can only see Taiwo, Babayaro(both leftbacks) and Apam CB. In the midfield, Mikel and Obodo. The less said about the goalkeeping position, the best, with ligue2, Israeli, Baroka and Enyimba goalkeepers. This team only has some good names in attack, other positions na wash. This squad is definitely not half as good as what we have now. 2 Likes |

Prectega: your assertion I don't totally accept. .... a player...who plays weekly in an average league is better than one who gets few minutes weekly in a top 5 league...but plays for an average club in same league... Czechoslovakia league is far better than the Chinese league..and if we could call players playing there I don't see why Yinka should be left out.... I have always loved him.... and I think his exploits against inter is not just all of a sudden... he played well last season in Belgium and he should be called asap 1 Like |

komekn: I totally agree with you on this.... We need Eze asap...dude can shoot wall from afar and can as well pass the ball very well though not too good like iwobi...I believe with time he will come good.... just pray Someone draws rohr attention on this. Yinka and Eze should be called up asap for the friendlies... while the NFF should make moves to lure Tomori one of the German born defenders preferably Agu. |

Thank you! The question remains those who are making the bench or playing second fiddle, what are they adding to the team? They can't keep getting recalls without anything concrete to show. We must have an open door policy. Invitation should be open to players making a case, ESPECIALLY those who have shown some level of consistency. Icon4s: 1 Like |
