He is not helping his case by staying in Czech Republic but big personal performances can give him attention.
Elderson was at his best for the super eagles...when he was still in Czechoslovakia...slavia Prague or so...

so please I prefer a player playing week in week out in Czech to some others sitting on the bench in Belgium or elsewhere...and could only manage get few minutes....

I would disagree with you albeit not completely.

First of all when you have a player like Onuachu you must play to his strengths otherwise it's a waste of time and don't invite.

We have neither given him enough game time and or played to his strengths. When you have a player with such aerial dominance and dominating hold up play.

He needs crosses on the box for him to capitalise upon
Our wingers unfortunately have a limited ability to cross the ball and or choose not too instead seeking self centred glory for themselves cutting in and making wayward shots.

Komekn just because a player is tall does not mean he can always make use of his head to score goals....

ronaldo is not the tallest striker but he can sure score more goals with his head than any taller guys...

I have watched that lanky guy called Onauchu....dude is not aggressive and hungry enough...

we need players who are hungry and ready to use what they've got to their own advantage

Elderson never played in Czech.

He was in Portugal and then went to France.

Slavia Prague is a rich team but for career progression. Olayinka needs to leave.

ooh thanks for the correction...I thought I read something about him played in Czechoslovakia.
thanks much....

but it is better yinka stays in Czechoslovakia getting game time than to wallow in top league bench....

I know he will surely get a good move soon...his agent messed up the whole thing...was thinking he will be heading for France then after a successful season with Zulte Waregem...

anyway he should still be called up...he is selfless and a good winger...

If Olayinka had moved to France or Germany when he was hot, he will be part of the national team now.

Slavia Prague has a lot of money now as they were bought by a Chinese Energy Company in 2015. That is what informed Olayinka's move at the time.

Olympic Eagles Know U-23 AFCON 2019 Opponents As Draw Holds October 3

Olympic Eagles of Nigeria, will on October 3 know their 2019 U23 AFCON group opponents when the Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducts draw for the 2019 championship at the iconic Montaza Complex, Egypt, Completesports.com reports.

CAF made this disclosure on its official website.

Eight countries, including hosts, Egypt, have sealed their qualification after the final round of qualification games were held last week.

They include Nigeria, Zambia, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Mali and hosts, Egypt.

The championship will hold in Egypt from November 8 to 22, 2019. The three top teams at the end of rhe competition will represent Africa at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Completesports.com understands that the Olympic Eagles under the tutelage of Imama Amapakabo, will be put through a test match before the November showpiece in Egypt.

Nigeria Football Federation NFF, in pursuant to this has made arrangement for the Olympic Eagles to feature in the Championship for African Nations (CHAN) playoff against Togo.

They will also participate in the 2019 West African Football Union (WAFU) Cup of Nations slated for Senegal September 28.

“The objective is to ensure we qualify for the Olympics in Japan”, an official NFF said told Completesports.com.

France Football introduces the Goalkeeper Ballon D'or

OFFICIAL: @francefootball have confirmed there will be a new trophy called "the Yachine trophy" which will be awarded to the Best Goalkeeper of the Season at the Ballon d'Or awards.

Note: This follows after the introduction of the Kopa Trophy last year for the Best U-21 player in world football... more like an U-21 Balon D'or.

I can not see the DIE in this squad. In the defense, I can only see Taiwo, Babayaro(both leftbacks) and Apam CB. In the midfield, Mikel and Obodo. The less said about the goalkeeping position, the best, with ligue2, Israeli, Baroka and Enyimba goalkeepers. This team only has some good names in attack, other positions na wash. This squad is definitely not half as good as what we have now.

Haha. The current team is better? According to Danny this was in 2008, which Enyimba goalie are u talking about? Ayenugba or Enyeama?

Which of the current Full backs can u compare with Odiah and Taiwo. Apam and Nwanneri combo may not be as good as Ekong/Omeruo/Balogun( accepted) But look at midfield of Mikel, Obodo, Ayila, Kaita and Olofijana. This is better than the current midfield composition.

Finally look at that attack. We had so many attackers that we were playing Utaka/Obinna and Osaze as WFs.
Kanu was an SS while Martins, Yakubu and Makinwa were CFs. Osinhem and Onuachu will not make the bench of that team. Even Ighalo.

Is Nigeria Brazil or Spain that a player from the Czech top division cannot be invited to the national team?

If Olayinka gives another impressive performance in their next UCL game he will definitely enter Rohr's roaster. Take that from me.

We need Eze asap...dude can shoot wall from afar and can as well pass the ball very well though not too good like iwobi...I believe with time he will come good....

just pray Someone draws rohr attention on this.

Yinka and Eze should be called up asap for the friendlies...

while the NFF should make moves to lure Tomori one of the German born defenders preferably Agu.
Tomori won't answer us now, he's getting games for Chelsea so he must believe he's in with a chance to feature for the triple lions

Chai! This squad na die. See the Keepers list, see the defense, see the strikers!!! Na who we been wan kill with this squad? shocked

This is a very deep squad. The bench will definitely be as good as the starting 11. And this what the current team lacks. We have a good starting 11 but not bench.
That was why we could easily throw away a 2-0 lead after a few substitutions.

Them suppose show Rohr and NFF this list: "where we were and where we are now".

I have always said it that the 2000s Eagles squad had what it takes to conquer Africa and make a major impact in the WC but our non-participation in the 2006 WC was a major blow. That list up there was some time in 2005/2006.
I disagree, bunch of average players and bench warmers especially in the midfield and defence, the only place I see quality is in the attack Osaze, Martins, Kanu and the Yak were quality and in form that period

Obodo was inconsistent, Ayila average player, Olofinjana poor man Makalele he was decent tho. Like I said in my earlier post the striking position was very good but please remove Makinwa that guy was a fraud of player I don't understand how he was able to play for Lazio and a very good Palermo then the full backs too were good Taiwo and Chidi.

Ayila, Olofinjana and Kaita were exactly what we have today in Agu, Etebo, Onazi, full time roadside mechanics. Only Mikel would stake a claim. Ndidi and Iwobi would definitely start

Odia was good but he wouldn't start in a team that has a healthy Tyrone. None of those centre backs would start for Eagles today.

In 2008, Enyeama was a full time calamity, hence he was benched for a Ligue2 player. Ikeme then was inactive, in fact, he was more or less clubless after his non league stint with Stockport County. Etafia was the Akpeyi of today, Aiyenugba was Ezenwa.

Like I said earlier, that team only had the attack going for them. Nothing special really

cudos to.the nff for this...

just that I have never seen backroom staffs so lazy like the ones currently been paraded by the super eagles...
starting from Alloy Agu that just can't scout a good goal keeper from the NPFL and then follow by Imama...
wish the latter can for once be agile...go out scout for players less 23 and use them prosecute the CHAN games and such build them up for the Under 23 games in Egypt by November....
but only God knows what Imama have in mind to serve us soon

bro...dragging this lads with top European nations is not always easy...

we're not proactive in this country....
If I was the coach...there are some players I think I won't even let slip through our fingers...

players like;
Noah Okafor
Dele Alli
Ross Berkeley
Tammy Abraham...
Eze
Agu etc

I don't mind give them a call up at a very young age...plan with the cadet team coaches to call them up for the under 23, 20
will do that to secure their future asap

Which midfield bench warmers? This was in 2008 and Mikel was very much an integral part of the Chelsea setting, Christian Obodo was still at Udinese and was still very much a regular with them. Seyi Olofijana was with Wolves in the EPL then and played 135 games between 2004 and 2008. Calculate it that will tell you average number of games he played per season. Yusuf Ayila waa with Dynamo Kyiv and as at then was even a regular name in their UCL fixtures.

Mikel+Obodo> Ndidi+Etebo
Meanwhile we still had Ayila, Keita and Olofijana then. Before our last game who were our other Midfielders? the aged Mikel and Ogu.

If una been no follow those players then make una talk
