Mfc: Melamine Face Chipboard is the laminate with wood grains or particle covered with melamine. We mainly use this material for wardrobes, doors and kitchen as well.
It’s stronger and has a better texture feel.

Hdf: High Density Fiberboard.
Sadly what we refer to as Hdf in layman’s term is just Laminated plywood. Layers of plywood covered with melamine film. It’s usually used in areas that are prone to water damages. Such as kitchen carcasses especially the sink area.
It doesn’t have the feel good texture of mfc.
It comes in various colors and wood grains as well.
