Phatkings: Going through your profile I can't find proof of current employment status in your country of citizenship. Aside from being a director in your dad's company, what else did you state in the IMM1294E is your present job role? Are you a fresh graduate and recently completed your NYSC?. Provide clarity to this concerns. Notwithstanding that purpose of Visit was silent among the generic reasons highlighted by the visa officer in your refusal letter, you have got a good CGPA 3.58 (Second Class Upper Division) in Accounting that can fetch you a direct Masters in MBA, Global Management program etc instead of PGD. I feel inadequate documentations were the reasons that led to your visa rejection. Meanwhile, get your file ordered as soon as possible for clearer insight. |

Esteemventures1: KINDLY REFER BACK TO MY POST AS AT 2017 (PART 13), concerning your refusal grounds. ALSO CHECK OUT THIS POST (PART 9) . These attached links should adequately answer your questions. All the best; |

AmadeusCho:I want to believe your question is trying to understand the best approach towards your study financing and Home ties. In relation to your question I'll provide you with a simple advice to guide you on your visa application process; 1. Regarding your financing, the Visa office will need to understand why your brother wants to sponsor you, financial aid history with you and most importantly his financial buoyancy in relation to the economic factors in the Country. I guess only you can make a clear and logical decision on that front. 2. Home ties, doesn't have to specifically be economical in nature. It could also be Social, relationship, family, investment factors and many more. Stating your brother will employ you might not be enough also the size of your brothers company and revenue status will also be a key indicator to your chances of returning home in the "eye of the Visa officer" in which I believe is going to be extremely difficult to proof. This approach is essential in avoiding refusals based on Purpose of visit, Personal assets and finances lastly home ties*. All the best |

Sakasakas:This happens sometimes, especially with the fact that the applications received in August are fewer compared to other peak months. So the VO can easily scan through your application and make a quick decision. Most European countries take 3-14days to get a response/feedback. You need to evaluate your application in relation to the refusal stated and also was the refusal based on your September admission which might be too late in the first instance or January?.... Sorry about the refusal by the way evaluate and order your gcms note if necessary. |

Phatkings: Well I'm not a professional however; 1. You don't seem to have a reliable or solid employment base in Nigeria. 2. The Finance available was most likely lumpsum deposits that probably wasn't well explained. VOs hate that. 3. Did you provide any information linking your ties to your family or did you properly break down your brothers dependants and his history of assisting you financially? 4. The fact that you included your father's land documents might make the VO think your dad is also part of your sponsor the only difference here is you did not include his bank statements which appears confusing. Therefore who is the primary sponsor? Father or brother! 5. You have no sufficient proof that you've been employed or gained any relevant work skills since you graduated. I.e past employment letters, payslips, certificates etc.... Try and work on this before reapplying. 1 Like |

emmy4Gold:The thing about EMPLOYMENT PROSPECT is that it's a reactive refusal clause which means the VO was not impressed with what you stated which means you need more than just a letter from your employer but rather a detailed explanation of your work industry, the future prospects and most importantly financial benefits in relations to getting employed in Canada and departing after your studies. |

Reasons for refusal is exactly as @phatkings Well in a way, I strongly have a feeling they barely attended to my application and a decision was made ahead regardless of what I presented. That's scandalous but one is powerless and that is quite discouraging to attempt making another application. My package include the ffg: EDUCATIONAL Docs Full Transcripts (I have 2:1, Computer Sc, going for Information Security (Masters)) BSc certificate NYSC O Level Family Docs ( I am married with 2 kids, oldest is 2, youngest is not yet one) They are not accompanying me. My marriage certificate My wife birth certificate My daughter birth certificate My son birth certificate Office Docs My salary is not huge (normal civil service package) but in a very stable career. Good career progression professionally too (I work in the ICT Dept) and I am given full study leave with pay of all entitlements (salary and other little allowances) while I am studying. Letter of Introduction from my agency Director General Office Letter of Study Leave WITH PAY Letter of Promotion Appointment Letter Admission Consent Approval Letter (mandatory to inform my agency you want to further your education and approval be given) Confirmation of Appointment 3months payslips Previous job appointment letter Etc Sponsor Sponsor is my brother (Citizen of a top European country) His birth certificate to show we share parents His letter of commitment (he sponsored me thru the uni.) His bank statement of accounts His Treasury bills details rolling over monthly (over 20million NGN) His 5 months payslip His statement of account where he lives Canada Docs Letter of admission Letter of Acceptance Receipt of Part payment of school fees (acceptance fee) Other mandatory Documents and some other ones too. What else could I have done differently? My SOP was decent. My resumption is January for the Masters program. Sorry for the typos, mostly on nairaland hurriedly. Typing in way to work now. I appreciate what you guys are doing. Thanks big. I will check back later in the evening or during the day if time permits. God bless. 1 Like |

badboy92:There isn't a direct way to prove this. This VOs have different personalities however gathering relevant documents and stating verifiable facts can help you out regarding proving to the VO the employment viability of your chosen profession in Nigeria |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Qudkom(m): 10:09am On Sep 20, 2019 |
emmy4Gold:This simply means proving to the VO that your proposed program will be of benefit in Nigeria, help advance your career technically and most importantly the cost of your proposed study is of a reasonable expense. |
