Some mixing engineers and mastering engineers even earn more than musicians.

For a song to be ready, 4 things are involved:

1. The musician
2. The beat maker (called the producer)
3. The mixing engineer (most producers are also mixing engineers)
4. Finally, the mastering engineer (the man who finally decides the last EQ to adjust and how the music will finally sound to listeners)

The mixing and the mastering take time, hours, days, weeks, or even months and it's not an easy job. Though, if you're passionate about it like me, then it's easy.

Bro, it doesn't really matter at the end if the mixing was done with hardware or software. What matters is the talent. I think the reason why most of our engineers use software is because those hardwares cost a fortune, and you can achieve 90 percent of what they do with
softwares.
For example, the SSL mixer boards you're seeing in that studio will cost nothing less than around 6 to 10 million naira on its own. Not to talk of other hardware compressors, equalizers and other exciters that will be laying around in the room.
Kudos to guys like Suka, Swaps, Oxygen, mix monster, Sheyman, etc. for spinning out mad mixes even without these fancy gears. They are the real talented guys.
