Godwin Isenyo, Kaduna

The Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria has commended the Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s government’s decision to save the 110-year St. George Anglican Church, Zaria from demolition.

The CAN Chairman in the State, Rev. Joseph Hayab made this known to our correspondent on the telephone following Friday’s clarification by the Director General of the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency, Ismail Dikko that the Church won’t be touched because of its historical value.

If El Rufai condemned GEJ, I am sure it was due to the man's gross weakness and incompetence.

He once throughly whitewashed Buhari before he became president. You have to remember he is a seasoned technocrat and most of them tend to be extremely irritated with the likes of Buhari and GEJ who seem not to have much in them. OBJ was a man after his heart.

Elrufai's present silence is not out of love for Buhari but political calculation. Rufai has a corrupt past and would therefore be foolish of him to rock the boat now with utterances against the incumbent.
