Ikinternational:I concur! Can you imagine Seun telling us to show him these things. You are the owner of this Site for crying out loud! Once intellectual minds held sway on this forum, Katsumoto, Maxsioulloun, Kosovo, Davidylan.. to mention but a few. Even Musiwa was here for comic relief, but what do we have now, a bunch of deviants and ne'er-do-wells who populate this forum with half baked, infantile, tribal and nepotistic comments that have no bearing to sane reasoning. Let me tell you all a short story. In 2013, I was serving in the far north in faraway Kebbi state. A village it was, very close to the Niger Rep. border without network service and very few social amenities. To pass off time, what I did was to climb a not so small hill, where I could get a bar or two of network service, save as many pages as possible of threads from nairaland and read. Then for a particular thread, I could save as much all the pages of that thread for future reading. Guess what, these days I don't even bother reading through a page of a thread to know it will be filled with useless comments. Even those threads that hold some promise sooner or later get derailed and nothing gets done to curtail it. This is my tenth year as a registered user on nairaland and to say I'm disgusted is to say the least. Something needs to change Seun. Get to work. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Seun:I must say there's been a noticeable change in the number of posts with pornographic content. As for your second paragraph, I'd say that trend of conversation is obvious trolling and should be punished with a ban, a reprimand or any other commensurate action that will serve as a deterrent. You can take a cue from a few foreign sites like quora, reddit etc. You get into those forums and you know there's no messing around. You contribute positively or you gonna get it. 1 Like |

Seun:Nairaland is doing just fine... It's a model of a society but virtual society. The people would always complain in a society even when everything is OK... It's just the bet9ja and scammers that are troubling every thread and there is a report button for that already. I would like to say, you have done a good job all these years and thanks for that. 3 Likes 1 Share |

And a mod banned me for commenting and saying the truth on this thread. So you think after the ban I will still be commenting on threads here? The mod that banned me should prepare to be commenting on threads and making them trend. 2 Likes

Ogbunigwe2018: Seun maclatunji. Kindly attend to this issue. There are certain monikers who get away with anything on cartalk and after raising hell get the mod to hide the entire thread on where they had been exposed as frauds or delete such comments. Pure image laundering and organised intimidation is ongoing on the cartalk section of this forum. Mayor555: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Smartchoiice: thought you were more sensible. I said what I said because of your friend's rant of raising hell. I physically know only one person on cartalk, and he is a very silent reader and rarely comments. so what's my bis with who hides comment/thread on Nairaland. you disgust me right now. |

omenka: Do you also want nairaland to muzzle our lips against freedom of expression? When has criticisms of government policies and administration become a crime? Is this also the reason why Sowore is still in prison? A government that is afraid of criticism is not worth to lead a diverse nation. 1 Like |

Smartchoiice:Very useless indeed! Makes my complaint about my disappearing posts pointless too since I'm the only one who can't read it, which wouldn't matter since I wrote it to be read by others. I think Nairaland has outgrown Seun's capabilities. He never conceived it would grow this big when he started it and now see him become a massive Icon on the web. I swear, if he could take his clothes off and post photos of his yansh like Tonto and Ikeji and them lot we'd all be going, "Seun for President of Nigeria!" But humble unassuming him, the qualities that have enabled him to achieve what he has achieved here, would not allow him go about naked. If he did the site would probably be called hisass and only he would be on it to the loss of the benefits we all derive from being here. It must be daunting managing this site. And we Nigerians do not help with our lack of understanding, though I do blame Seun for not exactly explaining too. I can bet he'd have been approached by many who would make it their vanity project. Imagine if Atiku or bubu or Zuckerberg, Gates, Soros, China or some other wealth got their hands on us all! Then you got the scammers and the raiders who would want us for themselves! I can just about imagine the battles he would have to contend with to hold on to the site. Some other person would have sold us as slaves already when you start thinking numbers. I am going to recommend you read Genesis 1, Seun. You must not believe a single word therein please, as it is not literally true, but open your eyes and see how gods build and perhaps see the steps therein that you have taken so far and the ones that need to follow. You are at the moment here. You done very well. You will do a lot more. |
