EVarn:

In conclusion, one thing we have to take note of in all of this is the fact that people are usually emotional about issues, that is why the masses are referred to as the hoi polloi. People most of the time do not know what is best for them, even when they do, they don't know how to get it. That is why a classical democracy is a tyranny of the majority, because the majority is subject to whatever social flux and emotions are prevailing at any given time.

You see the mentality of who we are dealing with which is the extension of modern Buharism on stage. Government is a failure but it's not the fault of the government its the fault of the people - Buhari's model of governance. The question would then arise why do we then need a government over the people since government exonerates and sets itself apart from the people. Ah yes! Because the people can't think straight for themselves, the people don't know what's good for them, the people are emotional animals given to their spontaneous whims and caprices. So then they need a dictator, no no sorry a benevolent dictator as we hear Buharists like to say, doesn't matter even if his cogent faculties are provingly questionable it is good, still good enough for us. It is good even if it trumps the laws and invalidates in broad daylight the constitutional requirement for high office of a WAEC certificate and makes us a laughing stock to the world that we are now the only people's of the earth that has now officially gazetted this law so we can have this dictator not minding the risks to the need for qualified education for our unborn children. No we the people can't reason so well so it is good enough for us that even when the outcomes of this dictatorship does not justify its existence we must still live under its yoke, why argue, this is now our brand of democracy foisted on us by a few good men owned by a generous dictator. But it was Abraham Lincoln the 16th president of the United States who told us that "democracy is a government of the people by the people and for the people". Hasn't that been the quest of the freedom the common man has always sought from aristocracy and royalty (in our case Bigmanism) that has for more than 300 years raised the greatest societies ever known to man. But man has always been his own worst enemy.

Algeria- another day, another interesting cache catch by ANP in Tamanrasset (Mali-Niger border):
- RPG-2 & 2 PG-2s
- 5 tubes described as "BM-13" (looks like improvised large caliber launchers)
- 47 converted 82mm shells
- 3 AKs, 1 SKS

They've also cancelled the AF capability demo this year.

https://www.defenceweb.co.za/featured/no-saaf-air-capability-demo-this-year/

If they cant even afford to drop 12 dumb bombs and shoot some rockets, what does that say about their ability to do even small scale conventional military operations ?
ZIM could probably loan $10 from the Chinese, prep for a year and launch a sneak attack with a realistic chance of success!

Imo,this is what the secret string pullers want! They want you weak for a reason anyone can guess at- a Western diplomat actually once told Eeben Barlow at a pool party/cocktails,"RSA is too big and the West would prefer it broken up." Anyway, you've still got thousands of highly trained private security personnel as an army reserve and millions of civvy gun owners so proxy killings like Lamu attacks or what N Naij has seen won't be easy.

How does that work exactly? I know subs operate at massive crush depths, which are more than too much for even the most heavy duty, deep diving suits.

Does the sub try to reach a safe depth to make it safe for the crew to escape using the suits?

Shame of a country because of a fascist dictator. How lower can we get before Nigerians rise up. Egyptians have just taken to the streets against Sisi's brutality. Insulting the president? Like really! Since when. How did we arrive here with fascism.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/353662-sowore-buhari-govt-at-unprecedented-level-of-paranoia-soyinka.html

Sowore shouldn't have even spent 45 days in custody if Nigerians had been demanding their rights. They have managed to use the weapon of poverty to keep our people in blinded slavery.

This idea of true freedom has to sweep Nigeria without which there might not be a Nigeria 2023. Many ethnic nationalists are up for secession.

Cool story bro now back to military......

Back to which military? Ok let's cut to the chase. You think I derive fun to go against the grain on this thread, no I don't and actually don't even have the time but when I do I now opine for the sake of the brave men and women in uniform fighting a dirty war blind with hands and nails. We have lost very fine men. Do you know even know the extent of the discontent in that military we come here to post and watch pictures of, dunno if you got clue because of course the military is hierarchical and everyone is hiding behind there shadow. Young officers want to be promoted. Senior officers are busy scheming for command level postings, juicy appointments and promotions but no one is really happy. The bulk of money meant for operations are going missing. Have you even asked what really happened to the billion dollars for arms under Buhari. They bought some ammunition with what they brought that was promptly stolen by ISWAP/BHT terrorists. I didn't say weapons I mean just ammunitions that couldn't even sustain combat for six months. We are currently back again to the drawing board. You want to see ISWAP on the move, even combatant soldiers know better to use every skill in the book and training to slow them down cos those guys are well kitted using very good drones for reconnaissance, TDs and NVGs and very good marksmanship that's quite a game changer. ISWAP can now pick targets just like the average Nigerian soldier so its basically like going toe to toe and a good soldier knows to have an advantage better equipment is needed - superiority is always coveted by the military in any likely engagement so you don't send crack troops to their early deaths. Really don't have the stomach anymore for the rubbish going on and I have more than once traced it back to where the problem is coming from and that's from the commander-in-chief who has deliberately entrenched cronyism leading to malaise. How can you have one CDS and COAS that hasn't managed to change the dynamic of a war in five years and expect a better outcome. The longer they stay they themselves encourage patronage against better judgment by field commanders and junior officers. It's a case of ineptitude and incompetence. And that's the worst sickness any standing army can face. Buhari is our problem. Some of us have already abandoned ship or are in the process of doing so. All they do is look for victims to crucify to satisfy their bloated egos.

And then we come here and have f.ools who have never even fired a rifle want to tell us what they know nothing about just because they have a phone. Things are so bad that the Americans got it wrong the first time about 2015 because no one bothers to invade a huge country like Nigeria knowing it just drags you into a war you can't win so they leave it to good old history which has always proven true that powerful states self-implode by it's own internal powerful forces fed up with its arrangement. A true patriot will stand up for the right things to be done. I rest my case.

I appreciate the sequel but it's run its course. Time to end this series and get back to military.
