My job role has very few professionals in Nigeria/Oil and Gas, the last job I took up with Oando, I was the only finalist for that job role out of hundreds of thousands who wrote the test, whereas other areas like HSE, Finance, Business Development etc. had scores of people remaining.

Very few people more qualified than I am professionally will apply to NNPC. It's only interesting to me because I just hit the number of years needed to apply for a more snr level than I am now in the industry.

My interview went very well.

As long as they will recruit up to 2 people for that role, I'll be there.

A combination of grades, certifications, experience and specialty. Also experience and trend so far has supported this conclusion

I actually studied a rather common course for my 1st degree with an MBA from UNILAG

Applied for EH of course.

Nobody knows? Don't you think your generalization is too hasty? If you had been following this thread right from when it was in the bud, you would realize that some guys here had given information that happened just as they said it.

My point is: Source dey pass source. Some guys may be well informed about the situation of things far more than you can imagine. So you just never can tell.

True. Paycut is usually nice at that early career stage. As family increases it starts becoming a tough decision.
Remember u have kept a particular standard of living for maybe above 10yrs of ur career, in case of mine, 11yrs.
For me the difference is close not much. But I wud rather trade the difference for the entitlement I will get when I retire than than nothing upon retirement.

I agree with u, that it's not always abt the pay. But to say NNPC salary won't be upto half of wat u r currently earning and u want to leave, wat else are u looking for.
For me I applied for a supervisor role, the pay would be close, but I dnt have terminal benefit here. Means if I resign today I won't be paid a kobo, cos I earned go pay. It doesn't make sense to me.
But I won't apply for nnpc if the pay is less than half of what I am earning.

But I am not sure they used the same payment pattern in 2012 and I don't know if there were people that NNPC won 2-0 in 2012. I will still be expecting the payment. Though there were feedbacks on this thread that NNPC won some people 2-0. I was an applicant in 2011/2012 and I played 1-1 with NNPC.
