I don't think he's good enough YET, he should drag the RB with Bissaka.

OR

Since we've no RW, we should change our formation and the way we play, maybe go with two strikers in a diamond or 3-5-2 with Rojo and Dalot as wingbacks and Bissaka as one of the CB's.
Yes, that 3-5-2 looks good considering the quality of players we've got.

Like we never have anybody in the box when our defenders get into crossing positions. Who do the wingers or defenders cross to? But we dey shout cross cross cross

I wanted to add that to my original post but didn’t. Our attackers are slow and dumb. James will make run and cross but nobody go dey.

Even that West Ham game, AWB made some crosses but nobody was in a good position to receive it and tap one.

Perreira’s one for Mata stood out but Mata was too slow to connect well.

The problems no be small.

I wouldn't mind Dalot being converted to RW to be honest. He has all the Qualities needed to succeed as a Winger.

Dalot will never make a top class RW. Other clubs are buying players at the level of Salah, Sterling etc we keep converting and managing players.

He should fight for a squad position as a RB or be shipped out.

Who would you rather have in that RW instead of Dalot?

Bombing forward from RB is different from playing RW. Rafael is a fantastic RB but he sucks at RW.

Experimenting won’t hurt anyone though.

Exactly. If you are not good enough GTFOH and let those that are good enough see road.

He can’t be bad as Mata or Perriera on the wings.

At this point, he should be tried there, nobody insinuated that in the long run he should be our RW.

If he is not going to be the long term solution why waste him there? I thought this season was meant to be for laying long term foundations?
I would rather try Chong and/or Greenwood there instead of Dalot. Those ones still have the potential of making it as RWFs and IMO Dalot is not even much better (if at all) than them right now.

I will prefer if Greenwood develops as a striker or SS. Chong looks better on the left even though he has the tools to own the RW.

In all, I'd rather have Dalot or the youngsters man the RW rather than Lingard/Mata, in fact the only reason I brought up Dalot is because I don't want Lingard or Mata starting for us.

Greenwood needs game time while he develops physically and mentally. He is not likely to get that regular game time as CF so he can get minutes as a RW.
Chong has looked more impressive on the left as you said but from his youth team exploits he can also do a job on the right.

At least both of these guys are forwards who have real potential to develop to top class players. Dalot is just good on the overlap and does not have the skill set a top team needs in a wing forward.

The Mata extension is one of the major reasons i have stayed away from any Ole out/ Ole in debates here.
It makes no sense and those guys will be the ones to finish him, but hey at least a man should be able to choose in what way he wants to die.

I really like Wan-Bissaka but if I were Ole, I'd have started the season with Dalot as my RB and used the funds for Wan-Bissaka to get a midfielder but since we have Wan-Bissaka now, I'd prefer we play Dalot in front of him rather than Lingard, Pereira or Mata.

Dalot is very poor defensively and fairly good in the attack. Do u think it would v been a wise decision to have him permanently positioned at that right back. Examine all the one on one AWB defended and imagine if it was dalot. I however agree he can be an option moving forward.

That Mata renewal was really a step in the wrong direction...I just hope Chong and Greenwood make it here.

For our LB, I think I have had enough of Shaw.

Imagine it’s Man Utd. The uproar would be huge.

I keep saying it. Man Utd is a huge club, any loss will be treated as a crisis.

And those pundits are useless. They change their opinion every matchday.

Last year, Liverpool crashed out of the Caraboa cup and FA cup quite early and in hindsight, I believe it helped them push for the EPL and UCL trophy...

With our current situation, I really don't think we need the distraction of the Caraboa and even FA cup, we should just concentrate on winning the Europa league or finishing top 4 so we can't attract quality players come next summer.

I get what you are saying and it makes sense, but If we keep using youth players in these cups the club might benefit from the experience they gain.

I expect many youth team players to be involved today. Garner, Levitt, Mellor, Chong, Gomes, Williams (suspension) all missed our last under 23 game.
I am not sure Ole would like to risk Greenwood with his recent illness and Jim being the only CF we have right now with senior experience.

The issue now is that those youngsters might be needed for the league and Europa league if our injury woes persist...Any update on Martial, Rashford (a pity I want him back after his woeful displays), Pogba and Shaw's injury?

I hear Pogba might get some minutes today. Likely to be ready against Arsenal.

Rashford is likely out for several weeks. The guy was being overplayed IMO and that is what led to this injury.

Not sure when Drs Shaw and Martial will go on leave from the hospital.

Hehehe Maybe we have to write to the hospital management board...They're being overworked, they need to proceed on leave ASAP.

Lingard needs to go to be honest. He's average at best and has reached his peak. He's a big Disgrace as a Product of the Academy.

The Twerp ought to be a role Model to Greenwood and Co, but at 27, the Fool thinks he's still young and developing.
