This is clueless coming fro. the minister! It is only proper for the state governors to be proactive rather than wait for a sluggish federal Government. |

Instead of this fool to encourage them. Who in their right mind believe a nepotistic govt have their wellbeing at heart? Just look at what amaechi is doing? Please, governors in akwaibom,Rivers and Delta should keep repairing federal roads for the sake of their people This federal govt of winner takes all cannot be depended on. |

Its long overdue. Haba, how can a governor repair a road with less than 3km stretch and start billing 45billion. Its been the norm and its not acceptable. Let federal handle their roads while states focus on theirs. If it becomes imperative, erect huge billboard on the road stating clearly: " THIS IS A FEDERAL ROAD, PLEASE BEAR WITH FG!" Meanwhile... Teacher1776:You don't understand, the state governor's rather than fix state road jump at every opportunity to fix federal roads should they can quote and overbloated amount when asking for refunds. It's just the way they scam the FG. If federal roads in your state is bad, it's the duty of your representatives, senators, governors and those with the necessary reach to draw the attention of the FG to fix it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Fed govt of buhari administration is doing his posibu best to fix all d fed RDS, I am a witness, ongoing work at Enugu-onitsha which started from 9th mile, ongoing Lagos Ibadan rd, Benin-Ore-Ajebandele-Ofosu rd, Oyo ogbomoso rd among others. The truth is we can't use all d fed govt money to fix all d fed RDS at a start, it has to be gradual, cos we have other ministry too in a nation. All what we seek from d citizen is to encourage Mr president and the minister of work to kip d good work going. No sentiment no tribalism, this govt is trying and working. 2 Likes 1 Share |

naijadrivablog:You actually believe they want to? Fashola keep plunging Nigeria into more debt in the name of infrastructure. If those infrastructure were built by the states, it automatically means the federal govt has to reimburse them, which means more pressure to use the borrowed monies appropriately, less unallocated funds, less chance for corruption, inefficiency, Bureaucracy and even less nepotism. |

Really? But y'all blame your state government for bad roads within your state axis. FERMA is shitty and don't maintain sh*t. These roads, esp in the south west wouldn't have eased transportation if not for the intervention of some state government. Nevertheless, some state government see this as an avenue to loot resources Ceegar01: |

How many of their people they should be serving, travel across states or use Federal roads and pay taxes, anyways? And wetin concyn agbero wit overload sef? Its very simple, there should be an agreement &modalities like real cost required &being acknowledged by both state & federal govt. So as to speed up rehabilitation of roads across the country. |

revolt: In similar vein, State Governments should handover to the Federal Government whatever they're unable to fix in their various states - and that's virtually everything. Better still, State Governments should simply also handover to the next tier of government - the LGAs - whatever State Governments are unable to fix. Simple. Who's a fool? ........ P34c3 ..... ... |

duwdu: This is a slightly ignorant and myopic statement. Do you think those roads linking states are only on the outskirts? Some of them are major roads in busy towns that lead to other states so everyone in that city or town is affected when the roads are bad! Secondly, there are large multitudes of Nigerians who depend on daily movement/transport whether from farms to markets or to deliver goods or even our petroleum products that tankers must haul across state lines! Why do you think there's always news of tankers falling over and causing explosions? When this critical infrastructure is bad, it affects the residents and citizens generally. |
