This is just a guide for those who want to travel from Nigeria to Ghana by Air.

1. If you don't have, you will need a yellow fever certificate, this you get at the Port Health Facility at ikeja, log on to yellowcardnigeria.com,
Click on register,
Fill in your personal information and click on submit,
Click on payment button, to generate the
remita platform and pay the sum of 2000 Naira or you head to the bank and pay.
Then you take the payment receipt with you, along with your international passport (make copies of the data page) and head to Port Health, which is located by the toll gate, in wards the Lagos International Airport. Go early, to be attended to early, you should be able to pick up the card the next day.

2. Getting flights to Ghana, Two airlines have multiple daily flights on this route, they are ; Africa World Airlines (awa) and Air Peace, reasonably priced too.

3. Departure Lagos, on arrival for boarding you get a departure card from the airline, which you fill and hand over to the Nigeria immigration, at that point you get stamped out. Safe flight to Accra.

4. Landing in Accra, beautiful airport, Terminal 3 Kotoka International Airport. head straight to the immigration cubicle, tagged ECOWAS passports, hand over the Landing card given to you on the plane, make sure it is filled well, as any misrepresentation will lead to further questions, which shouldn't be a problem though. You get stamped in for 90 days.

5. In Accra, you can use your Naira Mastercard at some ATMs, not all would accept the cards, but if you can locate any Barclays bank ATM, you should be good to go. you get charged 1200 naira for any withdrawals made over the ATM.

6. Departure Accra, pretty much same process, fill in your departure card, handed to you by the airline, at the check in desk, hand it over to immigration officer, who then stamps you out of Ghana. Board your flight back to Lagos.

Nice write up but some corrections, 1) Arik flies to Accra too, they and Air Peace do not give out landing card on the plane, you have to collect it at the Airport in Accra (they are on the stand to your left immediately you enter the terminal. Even in the departure lounge in Accra they do not give you the card at check in, you have to collect it yourself at the stands adjacent to the check in desks, just before immigration. 2) Ghana immigration mostly stamp 30 days stay on Nigerian Passport.

Thank you for the correction. I totally forgot Arik Air. As for the landing cards, i guess different airlines, different modus operandi. Africa world airlines (awa) did give in flight just before landing, and you get it also at check in point at the Kotoka airport before departure.

2. Below is the immigration stamp for 90 days.

Guy that is the price from Lag. Abuja is nearly 126,000 for return ticket. Both are Air Peace prices.

Very discouraging, when it's not Dubai or SA. I only need to add some extra money to that for Dubai or SA

Flying from England to Greece is just 100€ return ticket

Africa leaders are wicked.
From Accra to Lagos shouldn’t be more than 20K
Flying is for everyone in Europe cos the government operates open sky

I compared the prices and flight times of various airlines on travel.jumia.com and went to the website of the airline i choose to pay online.
You can try other travel flight websites too, to compare prices and see which best you can afford.

Honestly, i haven't tired wakanow. Hopefully someone who has can help out.

Have used Wakanow, both for Ghana and North American flights and no issues. You select your flights, give your details, pay online and they send the e-ticket to your email. Used it the last time I went to Ghana, their rates were cheaper than on the airline webpage
