This man is clearly anti-north (I'm talking about northern clubs with real players)

No player from Kano pillars still?

The friendly match list is okay by me but why is Idowu not on the list or is he also not active like Balogun?

Aribo should be fine for the friendly. He has a cut on his forehead that has been stitched up. It won't affect his ability to play.
Thanks

The 23 man list is very nice. Good to see Peter Olayinka and Ramon Azeez awarded for their top forms.

I expected Rohr to call up Ramon and he did.

I wasn't thinking he would call up Olayinka because I felt Musa and Onyekuru may make it but as we can see both are omitted. Henry, obviously due to the fact that he hasn't been playing for a while. And Musa is absent due to injury.
That made a way for an In-form Olayinka to make it. Congrats to the lad. smiley

Onyekuru Henry should be careful though. He should start playing again unless his place will be lost to another.

In defence, Leon is dropped due to inactivity at Club level while Shehu returns. This means in Musa's absence, William Troost Ekong will once again captain the team.

Meanwhile on William Troost Ekong I read reports of he being in the Bad books of the NFF as they labelled him "Arrogant and disrespectful". I wonder what could be happening.

In midfield, why call up Esiti again? Na wa... Even if you are looking for another DM option. There is a certain Mikel Agu. I believe Mikel Agu is better than Esiti who is heavy and slow.

Apart from Esiti... I am very satisfied with the others.

The list was submitted before yesterday so there is no way it could be altered to accommodate Iheanacho or any other right now. They should keep doing their thing at club level till the next international break comes around in November.

In all, a very satisfactory list. I believe we would see a very strong and effective starting XI from this bunch.

I cannot wait to see the melodious football our attacking trident will unleash upfront against those Brazilian defenders... It will be like sweet sweet music to my ears and heart...
Plus the fact that we will also be parading a strong bench... Ahh sweet music indeed...

I believe as long as Ekong is still performing both at club level and national team level plus the fact that the Coach backs him up and affirmed to having no single issue with Ekong, then perhaps we should disregard the dust those two NFF officials are trying to raise.

He has a jersey number already at the club.

But he hasn't been given a chance to play. Almeria faces an injury crisis at the back right now so there are some calls for the Coach to perhaps feature him one of these days. In all, Time will tell.

This are disturbing news

Who are these top NFF Officials?, Aren't they happy with the current stability in SE?, How come they are the ones having problems with him when Coach has come out to say he is well behaved

I think I want to disagree with The SuperNerd. Not when a ban is being muted. We kuku know say those "top NFF officials" don't have the interest of football at heart so I, as a fan of Ekong will advise him to be careful.

Knowing what happened to Oliseh and Enyeama (though Enyeama retired publicly but he was never really persuaded to return eventhough he was considered indespensable), and Mikel (He wrote a public letter of apology then which was read on maybe Brila or Raypower then - can't remember which radio station exactly), Ekong should just sheath sword abeg. I don't want to lose another player to the arrogance and ineptitude of these "top NFF Officials".

My thoughts.

This has nothing to do with FC. Was any northerner in the last squad?

If you're good and active, you will play!

Bonaventure is from Adamawa
Simon Moses is from Plateau, i think

That said, Shehu's invite is not merited but not everything is straightforward.

There was until withdrawals from the squad began. But one of the invitees was also a northerner. I recall sharing a video of the new guys with Bona affirming that he is from the north. But again... I believe Rohr trusts Shehu much more than he does Idowu. Remember Shehu has always been one of Rohr's most trusted players plus the fact he has been active too. So Shehu's invitation may be based on Coach's preference.

Collins is a very weak link as a Left back the same goes for Awaziem is simply not a RB lacks pace and becomes a liability.

I just knew they would not lose to Senegal. But we clearly missed chances upon chances again. That's an improvement on the 3-0 hiding we got from same Senegal months ago.

you are correct, I guess maybe he was at the fore front of the confrontation the players had with the NFF during afcon maybe that's why they aren't happy with him
