Nigeria From Slipping Into Recession, Junaid Mohammed Raises Alarm by hisexcellency34: 6:26pm On Sep 26, 2019 |
Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos Junaid Mohammed, elderstatesman and Second Republic lawmaker in Thursday warned political gladiators in the country to forget about 2023 elections now and join hands together to save the country from slipping into another recession. Speaking with Daily Independent on the alleged attempt by some members of the cabal to whittle down the powers of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Mohammed said politicians, especially those in the presidency should focus on important things that will help the country. ” They should focus on important things that will help this country. They should let peace reign. We are already on the verge of recession as I’m talking to you now. We are staring recession in the face” he said. https://www.independent.ng/forget-2023-now-save-nigeria-from-slipping-into-recession-junaid-mohammed-tells-politicians/ 7 Likes 3 Shares

Recession? Our legislature got a budget of over 5 BILLION Naira for cars, few days ago, we saw Osun state governor spending over 200million Naira to purchase cars for judges. An average senator makes over 150million Naira annually including all allowances and constituency funds which is never appropriately utilized. Nigeria has no business with recession!! If our resources were appropriately utilized for the people, this would be one of the richest country on earth because with more people in middle class, the faster the country economy can grow. NO COUNTRY ON EARTH CAN REALLY PROsPER if MAJORITY OF THEIR CITIZENS ARE POOR. You can tax us to death and do everything to generate money but if the people are not having sufficient disposable income, it’s a waste of time!!! 31 Likes 2 Shares |

I wish to concur with Junaid Mohammed to an extent apart from the recession alarm. Isn't it shameful that in less than 10 months into a new administration, most politicians are not talking about developing Nigeria but about who will run or will not run in 2023. The tragedy of the whole thing is that immediately after 2023, another 'madness' starts for 2027 and the cycle continues while Nigeria suffer. The irony of this 2023 'madness' is that many will drop dead before the year arrives. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Buharimonics is a sophisticated brand of voodoo economics. The unprecedented level of unemploy-ment, poor GDP/Direct Foreign Investment(DFI), double digit inflation rise are all clear signs of a mismanaged economy.Meanwhile, Recession is a byword-Kemi Adeosun. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Recession is always present in Nigeria, even in the time of obasenjor and Jonathan, but it was technically managed by experienced hands and technocrats. The only outstanding game in Nigeria is politics, 2 Likes 1 Share |

Our main GDP dollar earner the crude oil is sold at a good price with no crisis in the middle east, our non oil sector like agriculture and manufacturing has also improved so what metric did this fool use in sounding panic alarm When Fools like this batter our image why wont a certain southafrican girl with username xhosannosha or something similar start lambasting Nigerians on our own nairaland and Twitter .. 4 Likes |

Junaid Mohammed an elderstatesman (whatever that means)? What Nigerians don't seem to know is that none of all Nigerian politicians from the time of Clifford Constitution of 1922 and the Legislative Assembly it inaugurated and all the Military heads of state and the rulers since 1999 are SECTIONAL RULERS, except, to a lesser level, Obasanjo. To that extent, Junaid REMAINS forever an ethnic jingoist who's out to protect the desires and interests of a section of Northern Nigeria. Believe anything to the contrary and accept that you've been scammed! 2 Likes |

Recently, I have been doing readings in behavioural psychology and sociology. And I have come to this conclusion that the relationship between Nigeria (Nigerians) and her leadership is that of a narcissist and the victim. We are so used to pain and manipulations to the point that any attempt to set us free as a Nation is often vehemently resisted. It is who we are and it's the only Religion that unites us as a People, irrespective of our hypocritic nature as a race. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Buhari and recession are one and the same thing. Buhari is simply another word for recession. Is the country slipping into recession, I don't think so but growth is weak and nothing to write home about. 3 Likes |

No doubt GEJ/PDP put Nigeria into recession through massive corruption and stealing, but as of now, Buhari/APC are the ones keeping us in recession with his bad economic somersault policies, overtaxation and terrible unfriendly business environment that is killing businesses. 2 Likes |
