Re: B by ValCon888: 5:48pm On Sep 26, 2019
The truth is you never should have gotten married in the first place. But e don happen be say e don happen. So this is my own two cents:

A bird in hand is worth a thousand in the bush. So don't leave your present job yet.
Stay strong and persevere. At the same time, scout for other jobs by submitting your cv online.
You're a man now so you have to man up.
You have a wife and a kid, and another one on the way. If you quit that job without anything to hold on to, you may find yourself in a far worse condition than you are at now.

Honestly I regrets making the wrong decision not about marriage but career wise.

I think you should start a side business for your wife and keep on to your job for the meantime.
The mistake has already been done but I don't like reminding people of their past cuz it only brings pains.
Hope is not lost my brother, you can still.make it after all life starts at forty.
Just look into your locality and find something to establish as far as it will be bringing in some money.
You can also go back to your former business since you have experience in it.
You must be intelligent to write something like this as an Olevel holder.
Good luck.

I feel for you. But keep managing there till you secure a better opportunity or when you can establish a viable business.
There are no jobs out here... That's the sad reality. Manage the one you have now and try to find happiness in it

Let your wife start an online business. She can learn cake making, or anything just to support you pending when she gets a job. I said online because I understand funds can be an issue in getting a physical store and equipping it. So if she is smart like you are, tell her to scout for online stuffs she can easily do and deliver within her plss don't quit your job, I understand it can be frustrating but trust me not having a bird at hand to feed is worse..nah depression be DT..God will see u through

you need to find practical solution to your problems, what are your qualification? if your qualification is low, it will be hard to get a job even with your experience, try as much to adapt to 21 century job opportunities that might not need certificate

e.g if uber or taxify is in your location and you have a car, you can register with them to earn more money on the side or find for someone willing to give you a car for uber or taxify for profit sharing

I started working in this particular private company since 12 years ago and still nothing to show for it in terms of investment or tangible savings. The co The salary increment scale from the time i started working till present is 25k - 90k with only 3 promotions in the space of 12 years.
I married 3 years ago because am no longer getting any younger with a kid and expecting the second,my wife hasn't gotten any job after graduating 3 years ago though she's putting all her effort to find one but none.
Recently, she's been feeling unhappy due to our financial condition and myself am no longer happy with my job because my salary doesn't last up to the third week which has affected my savings seriously. The kind of work i do in the office is so stressful to me off late that i almost close work around 7pm, no allowance or overtime from them. The recent job stress is due to change in management which affected the condition of work in the company.
The little savings i have is almost exhausted upon how economical we are in spending, thanks also to my wife who is understandable and cooperative in managing the little i can provide. i have old parents but am not able to take care of them even feeding is a problem to them.
I am not a graduate but a waec holder bcus I was once a business man before I attempted to travel to Germany but I was deported and it affected my business. I couldn't cope with the little amount left with me which prompted me to sit for GCE and go back to school. I got my GCE and started working with O'Level but my mistake was that I was taking care of my younger ones education without furthering mine. My intention then was to start a business again after saving a little but I found out that family dependent was taking a huge junk from my savings that I then decided to get marry and face my own family.
I want to quit the job but i don't know what else to do in terms of business bcus of the challenges we are facing in doing business in Nigeria. Am a risk taker but i don 't want to move from frying pan to fire if i resign now without getting something better since my wife is not working.
Please i need your suggestion on how to tackle this issue because am almost slipping into depression, recently i always visits the hospital twice monthly for malaria fever but my colleague who is close to me suggested that am suffering from stress and worries.
How do i love my job again?
Stupid foool. Why bring in an innocent child to suffer when you can hardly feed yourself. Idiot
