It's good to dream.
It's good to wish.

It's true he needs crazy funding to do anything.
What is the probability that they won't chop the money when they receive from FG?

It's true that everything he said about satellites is lies. Go ask Borofice. We have no functioning satellite. They have no surveillance system, no base station. A military jet crashed in the north (within our borders) and they couldn't find it. Sambisa forest is there and soka. They can't monitor their movement right? Yet soldiers are ambushed.

Common toy drones, they don't have.

We need another colonization.

Suggest another solution.

Maybe China this time around

Many of you in this forum are just waste of space. Anytime you hear good news about the country you ridicule it with all sorts of mockery as if you have any other country. If you are tired of the country and you are certain nothing good can come out it, you go to another country where you think castles are built in the air by mere word of mouth.

We can't even launch a satellite safely into space and we're daydreaming manned outer space exploration. Is that DG mad?! Does it even know the cost of this kind of project??

National Space Research and Development Agency ...This is the type of Agency I'd love to be the director, knowing fully well we're not doing anything...
We just collect money and sleep for house.
Once in a while we dish out dumb stories like this to stir up our relevance...
Good riddance to unproductive Agency.

I so laughed like kilode. But it is the truth. Get money, from time to time dish out trash and go to bed. If they disturb much you obtain photoshoped image of few in the moon.

Photoshop ooo or real ooo, moon na moon.

I don't think he meant he that way what he was just trying to say is instead on going on a moon research program and invest billions of dollars why can't we take care of our main priorities first.

Going to the moon doesn't come cheap, infact it's might cost Nigeria a whole year's budget. A space suit alone is worth millions of dollars.

However space research program is very important if you have the resources and financial power. By the year 2100 Africa countries will regret not exploring space when others why doing so.

Apart from using it to launch satellite, sending rovers on Mars to get information and making it to better lives of citizens, the space has been know to be a source of very rare earth elements that can bring in billions on dollars. Infact some can be a source of revenue generation.

I pray we finally do something right in our nation but going to moon won't be the right thing to do just now. However I wish Nigeria is more into the space research program am a big fan. I would have studied quantum physics or any space related course

Thunder fire all the people that are disgracing Nigeria openly!

When we are yet to solve ordinary household power problems, our roads we cant build unless we call Chinese, President sef cannot answer simple question unless he reads a prepared speech meant for a different question, Security, kidnappings, herdsmen, bandits, etc we are yet to grapple with, na Moon come be our priority?

Please can you kindly explain how this above is good news and of what economic importance or beneficial is it to a common or even an uncommon Nigerian??

We have pressing issues, even in 2019 Political campaigns and promises are still bent on Roads , Water and Light , and you think going to the moon is the way forward.

Do you think it’s 1naira that is involved in space research,
This is just an avenue to siphons and waste funds by the people there , and you think Nigerians should be happy about going to the moon
With your myopic reasoning, you need help , you really do.., you are the waste of space here Incase you don’t know ..good riddance to bad rubbish
