And you think that was a wise move from Buhari?

No it wasn't

Just shut up there!

After Buhari you will blame the next president just as you blamed their predecessors

Got a lawyer friend who relocated from Nigeria to UK, from UK to Canada. He's currently in Canada and he said the chancing of getting a Job with that qualification is zero is zero to nothing unless you grade.

He's doing menial job of 4 hours a day and the pay is thrice what graduates in Nigerian earn.

What is his expense in Canada, also thrice what a graduate pays in Nigeria right...in the end the equation balances. More money more expense...

If you are truly a software developer, then you shouldn't be asking this question.

I'm still learning. I just want to know how easy it will be for a developer to get in as I really don't wish to start a family here. I'm sorry if that sounds unpatriotic.

4 pages in and not one person gave the op the right answer..

OP to practice law in Canada, you need to be called to the Canadian (provincial) bar and different provinces have different requirements.

To be qualified, you have to take the NCAA and coming from Nigeria, you would have to write 5 courses. The exams are written 4 times a year and you can decide to write the 5 at a go or break it down however you like.

In Ontario, after the NCAA, you have to article ( which is an internship before you are called to the bar) but not all provinces require articling.

As for jobs, you can do anything you want before you are qualified to practice. Some become legal assistants at law firms or legal assistant in firms while going through the qualification process while others go a different route.

Programmers and health workers are like hot cakes all over the world now.

So, if you learn well and can prove that you know your onions, you can easily land a job anywhere in the world. And with remote workforce gaining more grounds, you can actually stay in a sane state in Nigeria and earn in dollars.

By a sane state, I mean any relatively calm state outside Lagos.

Absolute hogwash! Nonsense and senseless anti-Buhari narrative (from the East I bet!)

Anybody who says Babangida came to the rescue is either MAD or an irredeemable ignoramus.

You term them "essential commodities" yet you cannot (to this day) produce them? The Shagari regime had already stolen all the available dollars so what exactly did the expect the Buhari regime to pay for the imports? The banks in Europe refused to accept letter of credit from the Nigerian central bank yet some Nigerian fools expect the Buhari regime to continue with food importation without money.

Oga please go and revise your history very well. Buhari did not introduce hunger to Nigeria, it is the Nigerian people that refuse to go back to the farm to grow enough food to cater for the population. At least 50% of the people in Lagos, Abuja and other major cities should be on the farm instead of wasting away in Lagos hungry, unemployed, poor and making babies.

Keep blaming Buhari......

Nobody is blaming buhari just pointing out the fact that it is in his nature to bring hardship on his citizens whenever he is in power including Huma right abuses and censoring of the media, these are consistent with him
Why don't you ask your self how others were able to avoid some of these
It is in their style
Did those queues not disappear under babangida
You are blaming the people, did your buhari provide the right leadership to inspire people to unleash their creativity and do all those you are talking about all you guys knows is to abuse and call people names

There are Nigerians that are lawyers here. The truth is when you immigrate to Canada and you have a career that is restricted, be ready to start from the bottom and begin to build yourself. Some of us Nigerians only believe on getting degree without having the true knowledge and also the factor of get it reach is also with us. The different between Nigeria and Canada is that you don't need anybody to be who you want to be in life. I immigrated 3yrs ago and I will tell you that I am not regretting it even when it was difficult at the beginning. I graduate as an Agriculturist but never work with it in Nigeria and my wife graduated as a Biochemist but never worked in that profession. I presently work in the IT industry even when I do not have any software experience before leaving Nigeria and my wife work with the Canada Federal Government. When you are ready to start small and pay the price for leaving your country, you will always get to where you want at the end. When I arrive I meet so many Nigerians and most of them keep saying I am here because of my children but I told myself I am here because of myself first follow by my children. I started as a security guard, move to investigating and where I am at present but I know my God have a high place for me and my family. Just be ready not to give up what is your dream and putting God first you will make it. I was receiving USD in Nigeria as I was working in the sea but since my father is not a politician who have stolen, I decided to leave and after 9months of taking the decision the company when down.My advise do not expect to be a manager or a lawyer on arrival but if that your dream you can do it. May even cost you going back to school.

We should urgently eschew ignorance and point the finger of blame in the right direction - THE BLOODY NIGERIAN PEOPLE!!!

Bad traffic, indiscipline, dishonesty, wuru-wuru, thief-thief, irresponsible making of babies, lawlessness, disobedience of law and order, bribery and corruption, stealing billions (Haba!!!!!), dereliction of duty, konji konji irresponsible fixation and obsession with sexxxx, ineptitude, laziness, immorality, destruction of public property, environmental dirtiness and blocking of drainages, disobeying traffic light, tapping electricity, refusal to pay rent etc etc

blame the BLOODY NIGERIAN PEOPLE..........otherwise these problems will continue from generation to generation

THE NEXT President will be abuse again ........The president of Nigeria is only 1 individual, 1 single human being , yet 180m people are pointing to him as the source of their collective misery......haba! kilode!!!!

I cannot suggest any career for you as you need to think and see what you can do yourself. People will keep suggesting so many career choice but it depend on individual. The first step is to arrive and be prepare to start small. Look at the province you are and see areas that are presently selling. Look at the areas that you feel you can fit in. Sometime not really the money first but the peace you will enjoy in that career.

This information are online as you can come in through express entry, province nomination. I came in through MPNP but because I have a family member that sign for me. I do not do immigration process so please I can only advise you here and I don't sign or collect money. When money or assistant start coming in you should run from that person.
