He isn't a part time player in Czech! ..poor performance yes, but not a part time player. that's the lie in the article and that's what Nigerian journalists are known for

How come you were not informed he was injured at the beginning of last season?

You mean 6 goals and 3 assists in 20 league matches was not impressive?

Sorry, thought I quoted Tbaba

You mean 2 goals and 2 assists in 7 league matches are not impressive? Well, I never took you seriously for once.

All those man's talks is to hype his fellow country man relegated to the bench by Olayinka lately. How come you can't decode that?

His overall performance for the club has been average. It is Czech league, we are talking about for goodness sake

Not good enough for an invite but his Champions league performance was good. Lets see if he can do well for Nigeria.

I never said players don't move to bigger leagues from middle table teams in turkey but pointed that the rate can't be compared to that of 2nd tier leagues from top footballing nations in Europe.

andrew444:

I agree with most of your point, but that doesnt meant they dont buy players from the turkish average clubs, i gave you few list

There are various turkish league youngsters in bundesliga

Wenger love french players you know this and they are so many talents in france

Lol... Interesting. It has occured to my thinking a few times Sir. Just haven't seen the need to drop such similarity before people go talk say I dey call Rodri the Spanish Mikel... Loll grin

But with this out of the bag now, you mean to tell me that Prime Mikel will succeed at Man City in that DM role? Let's eliminate the "Pep hates black talk" and talk strictly tactics. So Mikel would have been a success at this City side then?

Definitely. That was why Alex Ferguson was obsessed with Mikel. Even after losing Mikel to Chelsea, Ferguson still wanted him because of his adept tactical play. That was why Guus Hiddink who is one of the Dutch master coaches always had Mikel as a key part of his game plan.

I have no doubt that Mikel is/was the ideal player for a possessive tactical coaches and if he was born in this era, he would have been 100 carats gold. Especially for Pep Guardiola.

More keen indeed... Arsenal blew it!! They were not more keen anything. If they wanted Chuks, they should have sealed the deal.

Well... Yes. I have to agree especially when I recall how vital Mikel was to Hiddink's tactical set-up plus his role under another elite tactician in Carlo Ancelotti.

But then I don't know if Pep would have gone for Mikel. Sometimes, Pep may check how the sky blue jersey looks on you before he signs you. grin Just for marketing sake.. grin

What about our goalkeeping position. You think say we go do am without person for post? Lol

And don't forget Ndidi too. Very important spine.

Anyway, in a detailed analysis compiled by Goal international, Nigeria was the African team singled out that could spring a surprise come Qatar 2022 if all goes according to plan.

I just went to check out the article.

It was written in December, 2018....but I can't help but notice the accuracy of the predicted starting XI for Nigeria in 2022. Finally, some foreifn football analaysts dey see road where Africa dey.

Yes. It was a Post World Cup Article. I still have it in my archives. What draws my attention to the article most times is the beautiful prognosis of our lineup leading to Qatar 2022. Goal international really have their eyes on us somehow.

I am just controlling my anger because sometimes Pep can make funny decisions but I feel he always puts his philosophy first above talents.

"He never plays poorly. He does his best whenever I need him." Guardiola on Seydou Keita.

But, kept Seydou Keita regularly on the bench.

With more talents flooding our pool of players, I hope we take deliberate steps to improve on our tactical display because the current era of football relies so much on tactics than talents.

Our pool will not deliver the goods if we do not improve our depth in tactics.

While others were busy heaping praises on carzola and Moreno.

Chukwueze gave them that wining tonight because Betis wanted to kill them before he entered..
Everything changed when he got that penalty.
Even the goal moreno scored was due to the runs chukwueze made and the 2 opponent defenders didn't know who to mark.
Those who know football very well know this.

Chain, see hype.

Wetin fans no go talk.

Let same Chukwueze play rubbish tomorrow and hear these same guys lambast him.

And that comes with world class amounts too.... Chuks and Osimhen could be Nigeria's first 70-100 million euros-rated players sooner rather than later if they smash it hard this season.

I will advise that you lower your expectations.

Most things Nigerian tend to come with a clause or a bottleneck that was previously unforseen.

The Brazilian Football Confederation have called up a replacement for the injured Juventus fullback Danilo ahead of their international friendlies next month.

Brazilian coach Tite has summoned Botafogo right-back Marcinho for the friendlies against Senegal and Nigeria.

The 23-year-old has received an invitation to the Seleção for the first time in his career.

Having suffered a a left thigh muscle injury, Danilo was forced to withdraw from the Brazil squad for the two games against West African opposition.

Marcinho has been involved in fifteen matches for Botafogo in the Serie A so far this season, scoring one goal.

Five-time world champions Brazil take on Senegal at the National Stadium in Singapore on October 10 before an eagerly anticipated meeting with Nigeria at the same venue three days later.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo is in danger of missing the friendly against the South Americans after suffering a head injury against Livingston but no replacement has been announced yet by the Nigeria Football Federation.
