The most surprising player who still plays for stoke is Joe Allen

They still have Shawcross and Butland

I wonder why they are bottom of the league

Let's see if Southgate will call him up then. I understand Lamps. As an English man, he wants both Tammy and Tomori to commit to England so one cannot blame him if he is doing everything possible to push them to the front of the line.

Felix Uduokhai starts for Augsburg vs Bayer Leverkusen

Taiwo Awoniyi again is on the bench for Mainz 05 vs Wolfsburg.

When will Awoniyi get to start a bundesliga game?

I agree with forgiveness. There should not be any noise about his invite. There is more than one way to skin a cat. If he had scored 100 goals in the Czech league we would have said let's see what he does in the champions league and if he had flopped nobody would be talking about him. So let's not dare say that was JUST a champions league match because it was so much more
I'm not even against his invite, the more the merrier but the stat he pulled last season is poor.

I have always said sometimes opportunity is more important than ability.

Many people dismiss players because they are in a lower league. I always say whatever league you are in be OUTSTANDING not just making up the numbers.

Many players who have got opportunity in the EPL from the Championship have become top players. Currently the hottest strikers in the EPL top 5 two came from the Championship.

Joe Allen was killing it in Liverpool then followed money too Stoke he could now see himself in league one. There are many who were in the EPL and even within two seasons of relegation now playing in league one or lower.

The reality is Etebo is not outstanding in the Championship. The harsh reality maybe the Championship does not suit him, he's in the wrong team, he needs more training lol., etc.

As it stands which top or better team will want a player who is not outstanding.

That why l am particularly dissapointed that EZE has not been invited. Because he is clearly outstanding in the league.

still early days, the championship is a very long and tiring league. Leeds started last season flying by the end of it they barely made playoffs

I just went to check out the article.

It was written in December, 2018....but I can't help but notice the accuracy of the predicted starting XI for Nigeria in 2022. Finally, some foreifn football analaysts dey see road where Africa dey.

BTW: The article https://www.goal.com/en-ng/lists/world-cup-2022-france-or-brazil-england-or-spain-ranking-the/uwhvrv54jinf1wgzi5k7xzrih

Very apt prediction.

I think it's time we lay less stress on the youthfulness of our players. I think it doesn't make our players rise up to the challenge of tournament football.

It is the competitive nature of the Championship.

First of all look at the price of a good striker in the Championship, probably over £15 million plus.

It is the best 2nd tier league in Europe.

No Joe Aribo in the Rangers match day squad today. Obviously due to that cut. Hope he makes it back in time.

Meanwhile Sheyi Ojo starts as Rangers take on Aberdeen in the SPL.

Now it looks accurate, in 2022, it might look off the mark.
