Good day all, I am a beginner and would love to invest in TB. I have #200k in MMF which I intend to invest however from what I have been reading so far, I think 1million and above gives more interest. Do you advise I invest the #200k or I wait till I have 1m to invest in TB or I just stick with my money market fund for now? Secondly, what do you mean by primary and secondary market? Finally, how do I view daily interest rates of investment houses? 1 Like |

Good morning guys, I have some money i want to stash away for a project i am hoping to embark on by March next year. But i have never been a fan of saving money in the bank at all, so Treasury bills is topmost on my mind. The sum is around 400k. How best do i proceed? Which bank would you recommend? What tenor is best? Please advise me, guys. Thanks |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by emmanuelewumi(m): 12:38pm On Sep 28, 2019 |
odimbannamdi: Go to your bank and buy treasury bills or you invest it in money market fund. Can guarantee that you will not have any emergency that could warrant you to terminate the treasury bills before maturity, if you can't guarantee this please by money market fund 3 Likes |

For a very long long time I have seen people struggle with calculating returns on T-bill investment. In order to help others do easy calculation regarding T-bill investment , I have decided to make on of my personal tools free for everybody to use. Please note that the only editable part of the spreadsheet are the variables on the right. I hope you find this useful. If you have any problem using the spreadsheet, I am always here on this forum. The name of the file is TBillscalculation.xlsx 1 Like |

I'm extremely sorry for derailing the thread, but the only sign of intelligence I can see on this site is in this thread. My question is , is it better to buy or build a house in Nigeria, which location is better between Lagos, Abuja or Ibadan? I have no interest in other places. Thanks |

Property are usually over priced in Nigeria cos of over speculation ....so as a rule analyse the rental income possible for the property then x by 15 to 20 years to arrive at it cost , the smarty down price |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ahiboilandgas: 2:28pm On Sep 28, 2019 |
Example Lagos has more demand cos of commercial nature ,small land and huge population ...abuja has better infastructure and some crazy rich tenants |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ahiboilandgas: 2:33pm On Sep 28, 2019 |
Example if u purchase 100 by 50 in surulere (old long bungalow) for 20 m next the demolish and build 4 apartment of 3 bedroom 8m x 4 flats ( 32m ) total cost 52 to 55m ....rent out for 800k each that 3.2 m .. |

ahiboilandgas: Thanks a million, last question, to buy or to build, which is cheaper? |
