Incidentally, the deeds of Kalashnikov reputedly hunted Mikhail. I mean, it must be a special kind of dilemma, named in honour of a weapon that deals death...

Not quibbling but a clinic in honour of the man says as much about the esteem with which his contemporaries hold him. I have this darkly humorous image of terrorists proclaiming their piety exploiting Islam, scattering at the sight of the Esogwu hollering, ‘flee for your lives before the Christian Igbo Machine!’

Anyway... It appears that Nigerian satellites provided recon imagery to Mali during the coup.
But really,it isn't about age,so far as the second party possess a passable level of maturity and intellect. I have had very engaging and cerebral social media chats with a 16 year old, a 17 year old and a couple of 18 year olds. Heck, when I was that age,I wasn't dumb either.

We have 35 years old babies here, I am sure your mind can pinpoint a few.

That guy is an ardent enthusiast and he contributes meaningfully to this thread, I think you should give him some respect.

Who asked you?

Is it a crime for a 17-year-old to be on this forum? I don't get why you are age shaming him.

Oh well.

Anyway... I'm old enough to understand that there are 40 years old children and 17 year old adults.

And how come nobody mentioned the fact that I also said Nigeria's satellite was used to gather recon data on Mali during the recent coup.

Or is this a military forum or a crybaby forum.

The Defense Reference Laboratory (DRL) of the Nigerian Ministry of Defense (NMOD) in Mogadishu Cantonment--an internationally accredited facility--represents an excellent example of the strong partnership between the Nigerian and U.S. militaries aimed at addressing deadly infectious diseases affecting Nigeria and the West African region. Last week in Abuja, LTC(P) Julie Ake, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Deputy Principal for the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), and Deputy Director, U.S. Military HIV Research Program (MHRP), Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) visited the Defence Reference Laboratory (DRL) of the Nigeria Ministry of Defense (NMOD).

No offence jare but from the point of medical science or rather in my case, class 7 biology lessons grin

I think it should be the cerebrum u should be invoking. No human processes information with their medulla oblongata embarassed

If I remember correctly Medulla oblongata is associated with involuntary functions of the human body like heart beat etc.

Interestingly there r exceptions though , masters of original yoga not the crap yoga practiced nowadays can control the rhythm of their heart beat and even stop it momentarily at will shocked

CIA though proxies had a nice time doing clinical tests on the masters decades back.

Oh lastly many people don't have a functional cerebrum , it's mainly for filling up the space in their brains , like the guy in the pic below

Thats a genius level idiot grin

This is what you get when people choose faith, belief without evidence, over science.

These people also deny evaporation as an integral part of rain formation. They believe that every single water that comes from the rain is virgin/new and has never touched earth before just because Mohammed said so.

Below is an excerpt from the book written by the former ISWAP leader.

What am saying is, what's the use of the capability when we can't use it for ourselves.

We were celebrating DSA the other day, I have scrounged about to get anything meaningful they've added. They've been useful (barely) to NAF.

The Local ground commanders need up to date maps on the situation around them to; choose routes, plan alternative routes, site FOBs etc etc.

Or multiple sats in LEO to cover the same area concurrently

@lionel4power

Reason why.

I wrote this here long time back to a query by somebody , so quoting some of the relevant portions.

mig29 has a length of 17.3m, breadth of 11.99m

so nigeriasat2 is in business

but problem is nigeriasat2 has a global revisit time of 2 days due to its orbit ie if the sat passes over abuja it will visit abuja again after 2 days or so

what if the sudanese keep track of the satellite path and time of pass , ie after the sat makes a pass over a airfield then after a predetermined time based on the sats coverage its jets can come out for take off which will not be detected or any other activity at the base atleast for next 24-48 hrs

point being sats in near polar sun synchronous orbits r good at global reconnaissance (since the sat orbits north to south and since the earth rotates from west to east it allows the sat to have near global reconnaissance coverage but not continuous view of the same area ), however geostationary satellites r good in continuous near real time reconnaissance becz they keep viewing the same potion of the earth at all times .

so orbit plays a important role

Arabic - The Language of the Qur’an
"Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say): Our Lord! Thou createst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Preserve us from the doom of Fire."
Al-Qur'an 3:191
Rain is indeed one of the most important factors for life on the earth. Rain is a prerequisite for the permanence of life in a region. Rain, which carries great importance for all living things including human beings, is mentioned in various verses of the Qur'an where substantial information is given about the formation of rain, its proportion and effects. The fact that it was not possible for any of this information to have been discovered at the time of the revelation of the Qur'an shows us that the Qur'an is the word of Allah. Now, let us examine the information given in the Qur'an about rain.

The Proportion of Rain

In the eleventh verse of Surah Az-Zukhruf, rain is defined as water sent down in due measure. The verse is as follows:

"And He who sends down (from time to time) water from the sky in due measure, and We raise to life therewith a land that is dead. Even so will you be raised (from the dead)."
Al-Qur'an 43:11
This "measure" mentioned in the verse has to do with a couple of characteristics of rain. First of all, the amount of rain that falls on the earth is always the same. It is estimated that in one second, 16 million tones of water evaporates from the earth. This number is equal to the amount of water that drops on the earth in one second. This means that water continuously circulates in a balanced cycle according to a "measure".

Another measure related with rain is about its falling speed. The minimum altitude of rain clouds is 1,200 meters. When dropped from this height, an object having the same weight and size as a rain drop, would continuously accelerate and fall on the ground with a speed of 558 km/h. Certainly, any object that hits the ground with that speed would cause big damage. If rain happened to fall in the same way, all harvested lands would be destroyed, residential areas, houses, and cars would be damaged, people would not be able to walk around without taking necessary precautions. What is more, these calculations are made just for clouds of 1,200 meters high, whereas there are also rain clouds at an altitude of 10,000 meters. A rain drop falling from such a height could normally reach a very destructive speed. But this is not how it works; no matter from how high they fall, average speed of rain drops is only 8-10 km/h when they reach the ground. The reason for this is the special form they take. This special form increases the friction effect of the atmosphere and prevents acceleration when the rain drops reach a certain speed "limit". (Today parachutes are designed by using this technique.)

This is not all about the "measures" of rain. For instance, in the atmospheric layers where it starts to rain, the temperature may fall so low as 400C degrees. Despite this, rain drops never turn into ice particles. (This would certainly mean a fatal threat for the living things on the earth). The reason is that the water in the atmosphere is pure water. As known, pure water hardly freezes even in very low temperatures.

The Formation of Rain

How rain forms remained a great mystery for people for a long time. Only after air radars were discovered, could it have been possible to learn by which stages rain formed. The formation of rain takes place in three stages: First, the "raw material" of rain rises up in the air. Later, clouds are formed and lastly, rain drops appear. These stages are clearly defined in the Qur'an in which precise information was given about the formation of rain centuries in advance;

"It is Allah Who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds: then does He spread them in the sky as He wills, and break them into fragments, until you see

Well, it's right there is Suratul المومنون verse 18. I would know because I can read the Qur'an.

And there is no doubt that terrorists all over the world get their inspiration from the Qur'an and Hadith. There are numerous verses that talks about fighting and killing the unbelievers till they pay Jizya, the Islamic taxes levied on non-Muslims.

Islam as a religion is designed to dominate others, no matter what it takes. The fact that we have Muslims who coexist peacefully with people of other religion speak volume to the goodness in human nature. Like a wise man once said they are good not because of Islam but in spite of it.

You applaud someone for loving his fatherland, then call an original name from that same fatherland "local" in the same post.

If it were named "spartan" "titan" "Poseidon" or "Pegasus" I'm very sure you would love the name, but "Ezugwu" sounds local.
