I got a Nigerian used Elantra 2008. Has some minor scratches and a dent that would be fixed by Tuesday.
The AC is leaking and requires filling, and one of te headlamp and tail lights need to be replaced. Other than that, the vehicle is in perfect condition.

I'd like to know what to look out for or know before going for inspection. Any heads up is appreciated, thanks.

BRO, I use an elantra, be very careful of those lesking AC issues o. It could cost you not just a lot of money to fix, but even a hard time on bolt or uber (no work without good AC, or get a bad rating). If you havent paid in full,I'll say get it checked first. Mine cost me about 80k to fix (did a ful rework).

Inspection tip though :
Clean car (minor scratch is not a big deal)
Working sound system (radio and aux)
Very good AC.
Wipers and windows should wind.
Seat belts must be complete.

.thats all. Good luck

Due to his poor driving skills or attention he caused an accident and as an ehailer this isn't supposed to happen. When any passenger or item is in your car, you owe the people the responsibility of safe trip. This he failed, she can actually sue and he'll get punished for it.

Next time think and ask properly before engaging in a discussion that's above your comprehension.

You're talking rubbish.

I agree with your post up to a point and have to chip this in briefly:
There is a reason why there are 3 seat belts at the back.

And there's a reason why your car will fail Uber inspection, even if it's only one seatbelt that's not working.

As a driver, I feel for Mr Ghost that had that accident. I know what it feels like to be blamed for something that actually "wasn't supposed to be your fault". Also considering the damage on the car, it's painful. I really feel for him

But put yourself in the rider's shoes. Accidents happen, but that wasn't her bargain. She wanted safety too, that's why she ordered for Uber/Bolt.
Will "sorry" replace a missing tooth? What if it was a child that it happened to?

King.reign may have passed his message without compassion, but the truth is, "it is what it is". The driver was supposed to safely get the rider to the destination. The driver is to be blamed. If it was my loved one that was involved, I would most likely not be this "understanding" as I am now

Let's drive safely. Lobatan
It should also serve as a lesson to those riders that always shout oga run na without knowing the competency of the driver. In a country where many drivers learn from learners on a football pitch for few days and get drivers license.

I wonder why corrola airbags always fail to deploy cry sorry bro
But this rider Sha forgot her face on your car sit oo grin grin

Because there are airbag errors on the module already. If a vehicle has the airbag light on, it means airbag may not deploy in m accident.

Chairman, how can you say is not supposed to happen? Because he is an ehailer?
Even the app companies now have things like insurance, driver's cover, driver and passenger's shield.
Accident is accident, true sometimes it could happen because of a mistake or miscalculation but the point is it can happen and mind you nothing like a perfect driver.

Thanks for the advise sir. I actually work in a bank as a marketer. But I just feel the need to do something extra with my available time. Plus am considering taking a loan to enter into this venture.

If you work in such companies where the toughest job you do on a daily basis, is walking to get another cup of coffee, i think you can use your closure hours to run uber.

Hello. Motor Accident is a fortuitous event and as such cannot be entirely prevented. That is why you have a comprehensive and third party insurance. The rider can only make a claim and not sue the driver.

@bold u cannot be too careful when it comes to driving, even if u are careful, what about the man behind or in front of u? That guy may not be responsible for the accident, uber drivers are careful to avoid dents on their car, so they will always try as much as they can to avoid accident, the exterior state of the car is important in this business. Once u are driving on d road, even if u are an expert driver, anything can happen to u, because u are not the only one using d road.

@bold i always advice people not take loan for a venture they are not already into, it is risky. You take loan to expand, because one of d quickest route to suicide is inability to pay up a loan

its easy to sit at home and judge others. The rider in question may not see it as you see it. In fact, she might have compassion on the driver because she was there and saw what happened. Please guys dont judge others. That's why its called an accident. It happens in less than a second. That you're not in an accident is by grace of Almighty God and not your reflex or smartness. Better drivers have been dying in accident before you were born

If I know the rider, I'd ask him/her to press charges against you for dangerous driving and grieveous bodily harm in your ehailing platform and in a court of law. From your comment, you feel happy and fulfilled doing it.

Go and sit down. Mr take it or leave it, you owe that passenger and every other road user the responsibility of driving safe. You drove in a manner that caused the accident and damage to her body.

Why?

You did NOT instruct her to buckle up in your vehicle.
You DID NOT pay attention or drove too fast or too close or didn't react quickly.

Where did you learn your driving from?
You're a commercial driver, go learn more about fleet management, journey management. Stop arguing blindly.
Its not about sentiments or emotions here. It'd fact. Profession, you failed in that regard.
Mad man.
