It's really sad the state of this country. Police that is supposed to serve and protect are the ones harassing people right inside their police station sef.

And when you get released, you cant sue or press charges because lawless country.

Best thing na to just pray we never have the misfortune of encountering any unfortunate law enforcement in this country.
This one has passed harassment tbvh. Nigerians we have this habit of not calling something by its name. It's robbery and kidnapping what happened and what happens Everytime these incidents occur.

What that boy alleged happened to him is a robbery and a kidnapping. In any sane climate if the victim presses charges and all the police are liable to compensate the victim and in most cases dismissing the officers would be the least of their worries as they would also be facing jail time. If it is to round up Sowore now that's when they will show their efficiency.

Me sef don get numerous encounters with law enforcement it's quite exhausting and fortunately I've never had to drop a penny. However a lot of people have not been that lucky

VVD's current "struggles" to attain last season's heights, should be the crux of the matter here.

No matter how hard we try to twist it, he was the best defender in the world last season and deserved all accolades and plaudits.

He got a lot of undue credit even last season when he was getting awards for exploits of his colleagues, case in point the CL Final where Allison was clearly MOTM.

This season it's not that he has 'struggled' but that people are slowly becoming aware of the talent and contributions surrounding him as well and of course no Allison

There are strong rumors that this would be Pep’s final season at the Etihad. City seem to have a succession plan with G. Van Bronckhorst who now has all access to the team and I feel bad for M. Arteta who is hoping to succeed Pep.

When does Peps contract run out

Last year, I reckon he signed a 3 year contract extension that keeps him at City till 2021.

It still doesn't negate the fact that he was the best defender in the world last season and it's not even debatable.

Last time I checked, even the Messis, Ronaldos and other GOATS had world class players as supporting castes - no be new thing.

As I said earlier, VVD's supposed current struggles shouldn't be a yardstick to undermine his achievements last season.

Again these are rumors which I believe you have also read. In the instance he leaves this season, I doubt he would switch to another club immediately. I expect another sabbatical before going back to coaching. More so, I have a feeling it would be with a national team and not a club? Also, his wife has moved back to Spain which may also support the rumors.

Messi and Ronaldo's contributions were not over hyped. VVD's own are. That's why in a recent poll of greatest PL defenders Van Dijk was second overall behind Vidic. Do you agree with that? Do you agree after Vidic it's Van Dijk

2 of his kids stayed back in England with him.

His wife had businesses in Spain which she was running from a distance but wanted to manage them a lot closer. That was the reason she gave for moving back.

Even in the event that he leaves, he is already on record saying Arteta will succeed him. Same thing that happened with Tito Vilanova when Pep left Barca.

It is a ploy to cast doubts in potential signings. If you create a rumor that the manager you want to work with is leaving, you can distract players from signing.

Virgil van Dijk (43/54) and Joel Matip (36/41) have won a combined 79 out of 95 aeriel duels in the Premier League this season.

They are ranked 1st & 2nd overall in the division for total aeriel duel successes.

How many times did VVD make such mistakes that condemned his team to defeat?

VVD deserves all the plaudits...What do you define by struggles, he made a mistake vs Napoli but who hasn't made mistakes before? If you had the chance to pick between VVD and Matip at the moment, will you opt for Matip? And if you are asked who is the best CB currently, who's going to be your pick?

I will pick the defender who doesn't hide from attackers while pointing like traffic wardens

I am not sure Barcelona’s philosophies compare to City’s. One is a team with core traditional values, from ownership to the city it represents, the other barely has any traditional values and can not be said to own the city of Manchester. Pep will have a say/ input, I mean, he has made it clear that his preference is Arteta but that is not binding with City because they have structured differently when compared to Barcelona or even Bayern.
