BascoVanVeli: Guy fear God ooo... Pinnick did not destroy the league ooo.... The poor structure should be blame on shehu dikko Moreover .... Ive never seen a talent in the league oo... The few talented one are not chosen due to corruption... are you telling me this is the best in the whole country?? ... I only blame Pinnick for letting imama handle both CHAN, U-23.... This is not good enough... But you guys should know there is no super eagles standard in the league... They are bunch of mediocrity and most of the players are indiscipline... Nigeria league needs crazy restructuring... This is not to be done by Pinnick but dikko and the crews.. Coz it becoming a shame that no better team in Europe come to Nigeria to scout league players they prefer to go to academy 7 Likes 3 Shares |

I made this point few months ago. The league is full of recycled players and coaches with little tactical knowledge of modern football. Scout troupes in and out of 9ja to fish out talents from grassroot clubs and academies and that is currently benefitting the current eagles set up and the u23. 9ja is full of talented players but u can't see them in the league but the nation wide league, amartuer clubs and academies. Rohr made out time when he came on board to watch I fb he can pick few talented players from the league but was left disappointed with what he saw and made this open to the press saying that our best legs is not in the league but few myopic ones here won't accept that. sheyishemba: |

mank1234: A lot of players move from our league occasionally, it's just that we don't follow up. Now imagine if we close down the league, these players won't have the avenue to move to greener pastures or even play football to earn a living. Thousands of players earn a living in this same league. Some players earn up to #200k-#600k monthly in this same league. So let's look at the deeper effect when berating the league. |

charlesemeka85: Very lucky The problems of the league are those mounting the top hierarchy of decision making. They are low in ideas and won't let others get in. Dikko and co Now I ask, what does Pinnick discuss with these people? Can't Dikko be removed? What laws guide LMC? 1 Like 1 Share |

charlesemeka85: Zouma is a muscle bound top rated ENFORCER However he is not technically astute and can't ball the same way Tomori can. Tomori fits the pattern and style that Lampard wants to play. It's not a question of who is better |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by charlesemeka85(m): 10:24pm On Sep 29, 2019 |
the major issue is players recruitment and coaches in the local clubs. almost all the clubs don't have good management team and academies where the fundamentals are taught to younger players. you have to get to a certain age before you will be deemed good and strong enough to play in the league. our local league players lack basic football education which is imbibed in players right from their academy days. once a player can run for 90 minutes non stop, aggressive, rugged and built like a tank you are good to go in the local league somehow: 1 Like |

Player transfers will always happen it doesn't say much about the quality of a league unless these players go abroad and start turning heads. The question is how many of these players are really making an impact abroad INSTANTLY (or even after say 5 years). I remember you responding to one of my posts and claiming the NPFL attracts foreign players. There is hardly any league without foreign players. Your yardstick for measuring the quality of the NPFL is faulty. NPFL clubs are doing badly continentally year after year. That says a lot. UEFA coefficient ranking, for example ranks leagues according to the impact domestic clubs in European competitions. Following the same measurement how would you rank the NPFL to other African leagues? somehow: 2 Likes |

Our loss to Togo can not be put down just to the dormancy of the league. Togo's league is in a worse situation than ours. We should not be losing to Togo regardless. Imama did not choose the best players. Nigeria has not lost to Togo since 1983 at senior level. Imama has destroyed that record. Surely if we got the best crop of league players together, we will not lose to Togo back to back. He did the same at under 23 level where he ignored active players like Ejuke, Okereke, Bonaventure and Orji for players who were bench warmers or inactive. Are we going to trust the fate of our under 23 team to Imama? 5 Likes 1 Share |

somehow: Age is equally important bro. Learning - a younger person will grasp concepts faster. Injury - a younger person's tissue will regenerate faster. Agility - young people are energetic Longevity - a younger player has a higher likely to play for many years 4 Likes |

Joebie: Yes the league is struggling and not in the best 10 in Africa IMO Few questions for you: Are you saying those playing in the league are all bad players? How many players actually become outstanding abroad in 5 years all over the world? Use UK as a yardstick Are the human resource the problem or the league policy makers? |
