Hello Guys, with the protesting with Bolt, is it worth it still registering with them? Can I still make my weekly target with just one app? I am a new driver and haven't even done my first ride. I took delivery of my car yesterday. I have Uber all setup and am good to go but throughout today,I didn't see any request. All I keep getting is You're online / Finding Trips. Is this normal. Although I no comot for my Office area in Fagba so technically not like I was ready to accept any request, I was just test running. Please I need advise from an Experienced Driver. Thanks

That sounds good but, Ill suggest you think about it well as the business is experiencing its saturation stage right now. Am alexious and I stay in Kubwa. I also own a transport company and we could see to discuss. I believe you could do commercial transportation too!

Am only giving advise as he stated, I have been on this thread for long and i dont see the reason for the bickering or fear, he would definitely contact you and nobody is trying to spoil your business here.

Forget about the ' hire purchase' deal .as long as you are not the driver. Moreover, hire purchase will burn your hands in e hailing.

If the driver works for like 3 months using the car and somehow he fails to deliver the said weekly again, you would have no choice than to withdraw the vehicle.

Lets take a scenario:
Toyota corrola 03/05/06- 2.0m
12 weeks @ 30k- 360,000

He fails to honour agreement,you withdraw the vehicle, for the next two weeks , you will b looking for another person to take the car.

If you want to cash out, you can't sell the car for 2m again cos its no more tokunbo.

Did you make a profit or a gain.

As per rentals, there are som pple who have a fleet of Camry (big daddy) and rental is btwn 22-25k.

So are you willingly to wait that long to recoup your investment.

Even rental @ 25k weekly, it would take 80 weeks to recoup your initial investment.

And mark my words, there is no driver that can deliver 30 weeks straight without default.

Cos of unforeseen contingencies- market situation, health of driver, car breakdown etc.

My advice: As long as you are not driving it, find another biz to invest your money.

But come to think of it,it’s not only Toyota Corolla dat is used for d business...tokumbo Honda Civic is at d range of 1.2-1.3 mil ,,,,Kia Rio also and many strong cars .... Corolla has been over hyped dats wat made it dat expensive.....but dats still d best car.......


Go for Honda Civic,Hyundai Elantra ,Kia Rio etc if u think a Corolla is too expensive.....but go for a very strong and reliable car dat has value even after 10yrs..(Corolla)....
