ALL my African guys in Chemistry department got full funding this fall. I don't know about the availability of funding for Spring but I do know you have a really good chance as long as your overall application is impressive. ETSU is pretty generous. We work for them and we get a degree almost for FREE grin grin grin

Start by searching for schools on google. Google is your friend grin check the schools requirements. Some schools will require you to evaluate your university transcript to US standard through WES. Some will require you to send the transcript to them directly without evaluating it. The thing is check their requirements
For the exams, you need to take GRE & TOEFL & ace them, but some schools waive TOEFL for Nigerians since English is our first language. These exams will help you get scholarships or GA position if you get good scores.
For the list of schools, like I said earlier google is your friend. Also on this thread you’ll see schools people applied to & got funding too.
For funding opportunities, once you ace your GRE & sometimes TOEFL, you can get a graduate assistantship position which waives all/part of your tuition, it depends though. All you need to know is on this thread, patiently read through it.
vocalprince:
Good Morning everybody and Happy New Month to you all.
Please I am very sorry if my question sounds very Awkward. I tried to start from Chapter one of this thread but I couldn't find where there is a total breakdown of procedures and how to find schools in USA. My brothers and sisters, I am so so tired of this country and would appreciate any help whatsoever. I am a graduate of Parasitology and Entomology with a Cgpa above 4.0. I plan to further my education in Public Health, Or any Health Related course Even MBA. Now my questions.

1) How do I start?
2) What and what do I need to get?
3) I am ready to write any exam but which is better?
4) How do I get the List of schools?
5) Schools with good funding opportunities?
Please, it's OK if you want to finish me before answering me but still try to answer me. Na me need the help.

Best Regards.

Me: 2, UNh and FIU, couldnt complete my application on time with FIU
VO: Why UNH over SDSU
Me: Apart from being awarded 50% dean's scholarship of my tuition, the school is located in connecticut, according to report released by centre for disease control and prevention in 2018, Connecticut happens to be among the 5 states in USA with low infant and maternal mortality rate which my research will be focused on, I'll be conducting my research in some of the baby friendly health facilities in the state, also the school is just a throw stone from the biggest health facility in the state which i can easily access for my research work. That's why i chose UNH over SDSU

Vo: when did you graduate
Me: 2018

Vo: what have you been doing after graduation
Me: after my graduation, i went for my compusory NYSC where i served under OSPHB, at OSPHCB i was fully involved in the community based programs carried out such as IYCF, CMAM, MNCH to improve health status of under-5 children and mothers across the state.

Vo: whats your study plan?
Me: my program is just for 24 months, with total of 42 credits courses such as introduction to public health, fundamentals of epidemiology, public health and law, public health research methods etc.

VO: what will this course do for you
me: upon my completion of this course, I'll have been equipped with necessary skills and knowledge to get an appointment as programme officer at OSPHDB, where i will be planning, designing and implenting programms together with my team to improve the lives of individuals.

Pay that Money, and get it shipped to you, you can always submit unofficial copy for Admission purpose or you would have to always pay 30$ whenever you want to send the official copy of your evaluated Transcript

No sorry, there is a trademark on that Soft Copy as Unofficial and cannot be used... I always advise people to pay that 75$ to get the godammn document in 5days. Now he has to pay 75$ plus 30$ to get it because you may not receive that one sent via post. Dont try that again with Nigeria. However, things might have changed, if there isn't a trademark on it, you can use it.

Thats not always the case. My own arrived in 14 days. If you used a regular P.O BOX, it should arrive in two weeks. My evaluation was completed on 1st of August 2019, my copy arrived 14th August. Schools dont accept the online copy because it doesnt carry the owners name and other details.

"May Not" A friend of mine sent it twice, first to his Ogun state address and second, to his lagos address but he received none....
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Picricchem: 9:31am On Oct 02, 2019
Sending it to address may fail. I used a specific post office box... UI P.O BOX. In that wise, it will be channelled directly to the box. All one needs to do is just to check the box after two weeks. The guy that did his evaluation before me didnt get his copies till now because he used his address and not a specific P.O BOX

Most schools, TBF. They're just difficult

Check this out, just Control+F "International students", to find the ones you're eligible for and go through their websites to confirm requirements.
