I do not support PDP or APC. I do not even live in Nigeria. Since you decided to bring politics into your post, GEJ's era had oil selling for over $100 a barrel. There were lots of money to go round.
Same is happening in Alberta right now. There is hardship since the crash of oil.

But your oga said he was going to stabilize it.

Hello, please i need information on studying in Canada as an undergraduate.. Most of the posts i see here are post graduates enquiries.

I left school since 2013 and i still haven't gone to the uni. Only went to a polytechnic, finished last year.

Please help
do you have the finance to study abroad? if you do and you are willing to go, you can just go to the university of your choice websites and apply, provide the necessary documents. Then hope they give you a provisional admission.
But if you do not have the finance and you want to still study there, then i would strongly advise you not to travel out, as it is not easy as OP is making it seem. If you can find any scholarship board that is willing to sponsor you then you can go for it.
If you really want to travel out of Nigeria to study, why don't you go to countries that most of their universities are top ranking like the UK and USA?

How much did you pay before you curse Nigeria, did you pay N50,000 for your tuition?

Maybe you don't know that Atiku's University, Covenant, Babcock and Igbenidion can boast of quality facilities like
these yet they're not as expensive. As you have decided to invest your money in Canadian education what is the need for this backlash? are students like you not paying tuition in the universities I mentioned above? carry your negativity away from here jor

This is his thread ma. You can as well create yours.
I honestly don't understand what motivates you people. This is 2019, we all need to form a strong force and sensitize the government. Even if he paid #50,000, nobody deserves to take lectures in an overcrowded classroom. Nobody deserves to sit on the floor to take lectures. It is common sense.

Being in the health sector for a while, I have had enough experience to know the country needs a complete systemic overhaul

Until you find yourself in a situation where;

there is no functioning AMBU bag to ventilate your relative in the emergency department of a Teaching Hospital

there is no RDT kit to test for malaria parasite before commencing anti-malaria medication

there is no functioning CT machine to do an important cranial CT scan

you have to travel from the north to south west to get a LINAC machine to commence radiotherapy treatment for your relative only to be the told on arrival that the one available isn't functioning.

....then and only then should you be qualified for such argument.

1. Can you pay the taxes that the average Canadian pays , at the same rate?

2.Canada has less than 30 million people....Nigeria has 200million people. And our annual budget is far less than what Canada spends on prinary school educaiton in their country.

3.Canada has an actively exporting industrial sector. Nigeria....all of you guys think of economics is that 'we export raw materials to the West, and share the money to import stuff from the same West.'. You won't vote for polticans who would stimulate industrial growth because it means an end to spoon feeding welfare politics.

4.Canda's GDP: 1.653 TRILLION dollars. (2017). Nigeria's GDP : 375.8million. Now keep in mind Canda has 30million people compared to Nigeria's 200 MILLION .

If you want Canada level...you have to be willing to pay at Canada level.

Is your Nigerian APC PDP government paying salaries at Canadian level before taxing people at that level? Mind you, tax rates differ according to the standard of living in different countries. So the tax rates as you mentioned would be unfair. If you earn 1k and your tax is ,10% it would be harder for you to pay than someone who earns 20k and pays 15%. That's how taxation works.

Keep your illogical analysis in your bag.

Just as it is difficult to wake a man who pretends to sleep, you cannot inspire a man who has made up his mind to hate.

All Buhari has done is to further disinspire one to be patriotic (if you want to tell yourselves the truth) and he is fortunate to have millions of fools and illiterates and intellectually lazy scumbags cheering him undecided)

Stop misleading people.
No I'm not.

Nigerians are simply not analytical by nature.
"Yea, most Nigerians ; but whose fault is it? "

Too many self-entitled people who believe there's an infinite pool of wealth through which magic can happen.
"the govt gave that impression, don t you seehow they squander the meagre resources?"

Nigerians don't read and Nigerians don't research.
"this is my major annoyance and it's black folks in general, not just NiggerArea citizens"

A boy at 16 years who engages in online fraud till his 30s cannot help foster change
Well that's true, he is a victim of his own greed, and a victim of a society that believes (ifyou no get money, hide your face cheesy).

International students pay an average of 3million naira in Canada per year but Nigerian schools charge an average of say 100k. (Rough estimates)

It's called getting exactly what you pay for. Good class rooms, but it's no big deal.
Bro you miss it. I totally disagree with you. Let the government pay Canadian minimum& Make sure that all graduates are employed. Any body that is Jobless should be place on a stipend that can sustain the person for a month. All the entrepreneur should have assess to loan at a give away interest rate. If government can do all this, then they can increase the tuition fee even to that of Canada. Nigerians will not even step out of this country if all these things are done.

So how are we going to get the money to get education at Canada level with a budget of $2billion for educaiton, compared to the $60 bn Canada has for just primary school educaiton?

You want us to take a loan eh?

Yes, APC and PDP have failed...but it is illogical to assume that Nigeria can reach Canada's level with what money?

Let's not lie to ourselves.

Plus...left to me, I would have LOVED to have free educaiton for all in this country. But we don't have the money, and corruption and looting is making the matter worse.

He's not even saying how much Canadians pay, he's talking about international students... Are we also international students in Nigeria? Please ignore the guy.

And you didn't realise that part of the money being paid by the international students are the ones being used to provide for or subsidise the Canadians? Lol

Taah! Comot there. Which kind international students money. The infrastructure in most foreign universities, the buildings and structures have been there since they became a developed Society... Save for furnitures that need to be updated from time to time. The foreigner's money is just excess...

Some of us are doing so well in Nigeria that we have repeatedly passed up the chance to relocate permanently abroad. aAnd legitimately so too

Politicians are not the ones that dump refuse in the middle of the road in broad daylight, its fellow Nigerians. The same dump refuse inside gutters and then fall sick from disease associated with dirty stagnant water in the same gutters. Fellow Nigerians put a/c all over their houses but do a electrical bypass and pay only 1000 for electricity bill then turn around to blame government for not providing electricity.

This thing is a cycle. We're just moving in a circle. We're all guilty of making Nigeria what it is today. Like leaders like followers, nobody is doing the right thing. No one is patriotic anymore. Ordinary queue at the banking hall, atm centers, bus stops and other public places, you would see some people just arriving and jumping the queue immediately

Are the politicians not Nigerians?
The Apple does not fall far from the tree na.
See those shouting and screaming online everyday, just give them small political assignment and they will be worst than the old recycled politicians we have.

The kind of lawlessness an average Nigerian display every minute is mind blowing.
We virtually don't have laws and nobody obeys any.

All traders lie. Workers steal with pen. Construction workers use fake materials when u pay them for genuine ones.
Or is it our pastors and imams?

Crazy country.

Morning brother. You have captured the scenario in Nigeria aptly and I'm happy that some Nigerians know where our problems lie.

In traveling to other countries, I have formed the habit of judging the state of lawlessness in any country by the level of chaos on their roads! There is a correlation! How do we behave while driving on Nigerian roads? Unnecessary aggression, Cheating, wanting to get ahead of the next vehicle at all cost - even in hold ups.
