I initially thought it was spring onion until I took a closer look. I just ate the meat without licking the soup.

Apart from eggs, you can also dip your yams in blended, seasoned bean paste.
It tastes even better with bean paste..makes it more crunchy

The other day, I was explaining to my sister about that soup, using that description

My first thought was " why would you cook a steaming hot pot of egusi soup only to spoil it with grass?" Apologies to all my igbo bros and sis here but I had to pour out my mind out of the shock that greeted me that day.
