Thanks so much for your response, I will rate myself average in maths and I just started learning coding on udemy. I just don't see myself been a programmer/ software developer forever,so I was thinking about other fields that require little or no coding.
So far,I have been able to research other fields in IT which I will be applying for.
Thanks for taking ur time to understand and respond to my questions,I really appreciate it.
you just started conversing here but u have already dropped insults more than I have in the past 9 months . Lol

Calm your nerves down .

Who manages the accounts, what happens to the money and when do i have permission to touch the €8000?

Rickywowoz:

goto daad.de,choose a course

goto the university website and check their admission requirements and if you meet the requirements, then apply (endeavour to apply to as many schools as possible ).

when you get your admission, go to the embassy and open a German block account, then fund the account with €8000.

Book an interview date with the embassy via their website, after the interview, the visa processing takes about 3weeks ,they will mail you whenever your visa is ready.

If your visa is approved.... you have gat one foot in Germany..

The withdrawal from the account is regulated. They only give you about 800+ euros monthly and the blocked account amount has changed its no longer 8000 euros for blocked account but 10,236 euros...

Good morning people.

I am a graduate of zoology in Nigeria, but I am thinking of moving over to Germany to get a Bachelor's degree in Computer science/engineering..

Please I need the list of Universities that offer this course in English language and a few steps to follow during this application.. I am thinking of moving out by next year if it pleases the Lord.... I already know of the €10k+ block account..

Hadampson our able thread course rep, I hail o o o.
Well, so far my arrival to Deutschland is a miracle.
I describe it as a miracle because it happened when I nearly gave up the idea of MSc abroad due to lack of money for block account when all the promises were not fulfilled, making me depressed for months after my visa interview.
if you followed my posts, you would realize that I never thought that I would make it especially this year.
Well, that's apart...

I will start by saying that my experience has been smooth so far. The racism I heard of
before coming is yet to be witnessed.
In my own little experience, Germans are really cool and friendly though they are hardly the first to initiate the talk because of their natural reserve nature.
When I went for my introduction, I was surprised that someone I never met before offered me a hot coffee from his own bottle with his own cup when I was vibrating in cold...that is not what racists do.

Now let me share some of the things our course coordinator mentioned during our introduction.

Ask yourself these four questions
1. What do you wanna achieve during your study program?
2. Which field do you wanna work in?
3. Which qualifications are necessary in the field you wanna work in?
4. How can I get the needed qualifications during the course of my studies?

She advised that
1. Language is very necessary if you wanna get a professional job after your program
2. Internship is also very necessary
3. Attending seminars organised by the University or some bodies is also very necessary
4. When you do some semesters abroad, you spice up your CV too.

God bless you for this selfless contribution. Germany is often perceived as a racist country (as if there is no racism in other western countries) but with all what i have been hearing from other people, you inclusive. It seems most Nigerians are brainwashed by many bad videos about Germany on YouTube.

Once again, thanks so much for clearing the racism part. Germany, just like other countries is not perfect. One way or the other, we will face discrimination. Even, in Nigeria, we do face discrimination like tribalism.

In the north, yorubas are treated like a second class citizen, likewise hausas are treated like second class citizen in the west.

No matter where we find ourselves, let's make our country proud and be a good ambassador of Nigeria.

There is still systemic racism in the German speaking world but not like in the old days, when it was combined with societal racism. I live and school both here and in Austria,(which is misunderstood and considered worse than Germany) but I can assure you that the Austrian police or the people over here, has never had any issue with the African students over here, compared to what I have experienced in Hungary and Belgium (an old woman even adviced a friend to stop asking for directions in a bus, after he thought that I was joking when I narrated my experience)! America sef na point and kill pepper soup joint!
It is just a matter of perspective! Keep your nose clean and avoid street boys!

No wahala. It starts by having a dream of doing your MSc abroad, then developing the intense motivation to achieve your dream . When you have intense motivation, you will end up making some challenging moves that will take you to Deutschland by the special Grace of God.
