Namadi Sambo may be have dumped the party that made him governor and vice president...

-Commentators in the state have repeatedly said that Namadi isn't truly a loyal party man and even believed to have played a role in the defeat of his party.

Kaduna based political scientist and analyst, Dr. John Danfulani reacts to the contemporary political romance between former vice president Namadi Sambo and Governor Nasir Elrufai.

Following a social post by a group in Kaduna state known as @YouthForPDP, "The Former Vice President turns Elrufai's regular visitor in govt house, praising him as the best governor ever in kaduna.

All his key soldiers in Kaduna left for the ruling party before and after elections."

According to Dr. Danfulani, "We told Wadata plaza, leadership of the PDP about Namadi Sambo and how he can be a possible sellout during the build up to 2019 polls, they refused!

"The PDP saw what happened, how the party lost Kaduna at the gubernatorial polls and what is happening now.

It is indeed Sad" Dr. Danfulani added.

Didn't Jonathan betray northern politicians too when he eventually promised them not to contest for second term in 2015. Go get a book written by Segun Adeniyi titled 'against the run of play: how a sitting president was defeated..... Jonathan was and is a betrayer per excellence. PDP constitution was twisted and changed for him to contest in 2012. Same PDP constitution was amended to pave way for Jonathan to run unopposed in 2015. He scheme everything that he should be the sole candidate of PDP and still want other party men to support him as if they are all daft like those idiots who are still supporting him till now

after going all out to beg northern politicians in the run up to the 2011 elections, and even promising never to do more than one term, he now use his power of incumbency to frustrate every other politicians in PDP out of the party so that the coast can be clear for him to run unopposed which he actually did in 2015. If not that Jonathan is a wayo man, how could he allow his party constitution to be amended so that he can contest unopposed? That's the biggest fraud on earth and TAN people milked Jonathan for it

If Jonathan twisted the party's constitution to become sole candidate of PDP, is it not same APC did to Buhari? Jonathan did not betray the North, the Nigerian Constitution gave him that power to run for a second term. Nigerian Constitution doesn't recognize zoning or different geo-political zones in Nigeria. As for Adeniyi's book, that's just his opinion used in writing his own book. The constitution has already told us who to contest and the conditions attached to it.

If I may ask, where is Saraki, Atiku, Kwakwanso, et al? Tambuwal was lucky to have picked the guber party form in his state and scaled through despite loosen the Presidential ticket of PDP but definitely he will meet his waterloo by 2023. Amaechi was just lucky to have survived it till now.

Jonathan may have promised them one term for four years but changes in life is inevitable. Didn't Buhari promised Nigerians that he only needs 4 years and get out but who's the President now? Buhari. My man, our politicians are not men of their words however some are quite honest than some.

you people just use words loosely....It was Jonathan that betray the North, not the other way round. The unwritten constitution all political parties have come to adopt is that power should always rotate between north and south. Yar'ardua died in office and the North were so magnanimous enough to yield to the beggings of Jonathan to do just one term. Jonathan's greed for a second term made others to leave the party for him. Jonathan wanted to eat his cake and then have it. If you say those politicians who defected to APC are no longer relevant, whose fault? Their greed also made them to be irrelevant in the course of 2019 elections. So I ask you, is Jonathan also relevant again in Nigeria? He can't even influence who becomes the PDP flagbearer for this coming election in Bayelsa State. Jonathan is as useless in his state as P in psychology
