Don't be clever by half. We all know if Igbokwe is presented by Apc as their presidential candidate today. As long as his from Apc, you people will rather cast your votes for Sheka of any PDP origin
Igbokwe problem will definitely not be from Yorubas but from people like you
If u are anything close to smart u would know OBJ became president without your support ...so it can be done

He saved the day, when the choice of Apc presidential candidate is already known to everyone. He saved the day , when Atiku, didn't even close to second but 3rd in the Apc presidential primary? Do you know what you are saying atall? Did Amechi even have the financial power of Atiku to safe the day? If Amechi safe the day, Wike could have also saved the night ( Tambuwal) in the last PDP primary in Rivers.
You people will just come on line to say all sort of unguided information .He saved the day from someone who got over 3600 votes and some with less than 1000 votes? Na real waaa for una

The new PDP contributed more than tinubu ...if anyone can come out n say he made buhari president its Ameachi

Tinubu / buhari that was beaten in the primaries by Atiku before Ameachi brought money

Oga. ...u have northing against the north ...only a united south n middle belt can defeat the north case close

Right now if there is no igbo president

South east n south south would back the north like u did in 2015 and nothing would happen

Sorry to announce it you publicly, but you are a very dishonest human being. Where was the new PDP when the merger of ACN, CPC and others was conceived to challenge and dethrone PDP?

Was 'new PDP' not a group of individual who left the PDP for one of two reasons.
(1) Impunity, disregard for due process and lack of fairness in the PDP under Jonathan (applicable to Rotimi Amaechi et al) and
(2) those who knew the PDP was dying and simply sought self-sustenance under the new power that was moving decisively against GEJ-led PDP. This would include the worthless and treacherous Saraki and his ilk.

Plans for the APC merger preceded anything so called new PDP went on to contribute. Yet we can always trust you Igbos to be dishonest, propagandist and revisionist in your take on history.

Since when democracy is in Nigeria your popularities will determine you wining elections not by it is our turn.value ,moral and respect is the must important aspect of life.now you want people to support you for elections but what you can dish out to them is Insult, disrespect ,personal attack and different kinds of bad names. Voting for somebody means you give out your consent ,respect and trust to him or her and his people. Now Can you give your vote for who Insulting, show hatred, disrespecting ,attacking your person and calling you bad !bad! Names even with your culture ¿?? Lastly you can not vote for who you don't trust with power .

If we must respect zoning then the South east should rule come 2023

If we are killing zoning then the north have right to contest
[/s]

Every Igbo man already knows the present Yoruba campaign for Igbo Presidency in 2023 is borne out of Tinubu's desire to rule in 2023. Because the north has stated that zoning is dead in Nigeria, Yoruba now fear Igbos will repay Yoruba by voting a northerner as Yoruba did for 8 years. Therefore, they have suddenly realized Igbo should run for the office to divide Igbo votes rather than give it to the north. grin grin grin grin grin grin

Let Yoruba and a northerner contest in 2023, Igbo will decide who rules Nigeria. The time for Igbo Presidency is coming. It is definitely not 2023.Even APC knows that if they give Tinubu or Osinbajo their ticket, the opposition party fielding Atiku, Kwankwaso or other northerner will defeat APC very badly. Therefore, the Yoruba's mischievous plot is to try and divide Igbo votes by shouting "Igbo presidency 2023!"

All the empty campaign for Igbo Presidency in 2023 by the Yorubas will fail, because Igbo know Yoruba is doing it out of mischief and a plot to install themselves in 2023.

Bruv, no one is making threats. We have heard many Northerners, to include El Rufai and a lot of others, claim zoning is dead and the North will/can produce the President in 2023. While sensible Yorubas understand that this is the talk of a few unscrupulous individuals and that sensible/fair/principled Northerners like PMB hold sway, we must still remind these Northern hawks that the Yorubas have paid their political dues to the North because we expected to be treated fairly in return.

If this then does not happen then the Yorubas will know how to move forward. This is my point and not a threat. Yorubas are not troublemakers like Igbos but we are not second class to anyone in Nigeria. Anything that makes us feel like that will be challenged until we get the result we want.

I concur.

Secondly, you are deluded if you think Yorubas will remain in a Nigeria where only the North will produce the Nigerian President because of some nonsense about purported population superiority. Lol, I’ve always told people, the Igbos are the biggest set of cowards ever known to mankind. You’ve been defeated psychologically and you are the definition of the empty vessels make the loudest noise.

If you see the configuration of Nigeria, the Yourbas right from the first republic have always behaved as a co-owner of Nigeria and not second to anyone, not even the North.

Pa Awolowo seek for the alliance with Azikwe before he betrayed the south with Balewa, Awo never killed his dream, he remain in the scene and contested again in 1979 against Shagari even when the Igbos voted Sheu.

In 1993, Abiola also contested against a northern Tofa, even when some Igbos were behind Tofa, the Yorubas never backed out of the contest for fear of failing, rather Abiola proceeded to win that election which is dubbed the most freest and fairest election in our history.

Even when Babangida annulled the election, the Yorubas again showed their bravery and resilience that shook this nation when the NADECO paralyzed everything which culminated into the North ceding the slot to OBJ.

Check history, the Yoruba were not slave or second to anyone, the only time in history we formed alliance with the north is in 2015, but the Igbos have been slaves and coward who the north tramples (since 1960) on and who dare not voice out to be presidents.

Now the defeated Igbos is telling the Yourba to cow out of the presidential contest because of fear of failing? Such a cowardice statement from the Igbos.

And no, with this mindset of yours, you won’t rule even in 2050, your best bet is for this country to breakup, coz if Nigeria exists and you have these kind of behavior (abuse every tribe, shout everytime), then you will all die a slave in Nigeria.

Look, keep up buddy. What I am saying is not Rocket Science. Where was Buhari going to get the vote to defeat the PDP in 2015 considering his abysmal outing in 2011 and the past 2 elections before that if Tinubu and the SW did not put it all on the line for the North? If the North now feels such 'gentleman' behaviour deserves no reciprocal goodwill, I say good luck to them. I never said this is about votes.

I am just showing you that Yorubas will be more effective than you Igbos at challenging breach of trust and treachery. You work to get paid in life. If you then do your job and your employer fails to pay you then it is up to you to decide to move to another job place (Yoruba)or to remain complaining on no pay (Igbos) in the same office every damn day. If you Igbos are not a money-above-everything people then Biafra will be an ideological reality today even if not a physical one as Igbos, genuinely committed to a Biafran way of life, would have all gone back to the SE to make it great and successful as a rallying point for Igbo greatness.

Unlike you Igbos, most Yorubas can leave the North to return to the SW on ideological ground once we feel this is a way forward against oppression and tyranny. If Yorubas understand, through the actions of others, that Nigeria is redundant to our progress then we will be effective devising a way to disengage from Nigeria and define ourselves as a region. Whether you know it or not, the SW is the region most likely to wean itself of reliance on oil income in the nearest future. Go figure.

Well said bro. The Igbos don't understand that the Yorubas are far more emotionally mature than they are. When Yorubas become uncomfortable with how Nigeria is, they act. Igbos can ever devise a Radio Kudirat created to fight for Nigeria's democracy and the enshrinement of fundamental human rights and an end to tyranny/dictatorship? Hell no. it is only hateful outlet like radio Biafra they can deliver.

NADECO is something Igbos will not be able to convene as they are 'bandwagon' in mentality and only ready to go where food has already been prepared rather than fight for what is right and just for all. Was it not an Igbo man that convened a million man march for the despot Abacha?

There is something wrong with you Igbos and dishonesty. NADECO is Yoruba start to finish even if a few Igbos joined. Conceived by Yorubas entirely and with Yorubas making the most sacrifice to end the tyranny of Abacha.

National Democratic Coalition (Nigeria)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to search
The National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) was formed on May 15, 1994 by a broad coalition of Nigerian democrats, who called on the military government of Sani Abacha to step down in favor of the winner of the June 12, 1993 election, M. K. O. Abiola.[1] The members mostly came from the southwest of the country.[2] They quickly became the symbol of mass resistance against military rule.[3] On June 11, 1994, using the groundwork laid by NADECO, Abiola declared himself president and went into hiding. He reemerged and was promptly arrested on June 23.[4]

Then pay attention better. You asked where would Yoruba votes come from and I proceeded to inform you it is about the North working for a Yoruba APC candidate otherwise anything else from the North is a betrayal of the ethos of 'scratch my back I scratch yours'. A Yoruba APC candidate would naturally expect all APC Northern leaders to work for his win as Tinubu, Akande, Lai Mohammed, Amosun, Ajimobi, Fashola, Fayemi, Aregbesola and thousands of other Yoruba foremost leaders worked for Buhari and the North tirelessly and worldwide in 2015 and 2019 all the way to even MC Oluomo. Sorry had to throw that low blow in as I know you Igbos hate MC Oluomo passionately grin grin grin grin grin.

Lol, @the bold statement, you are a defeated entity in Nigeria, you can’t even summon an iota of courage to contest in 2023 under PDP that you swore allegiance to.

Ask yourself, what is the reason why the Igbos do not want to dare contest for presidency under the two major party? Do you know the reason ?

It’s because you play emotional politics, you can be easily annoyed and you always go about attacking other people and forgot the saying that no man is an island.

If you keep going like this, even after 2023, the Igbos will not be able to rule Nigeria unless this country divide because if you maintain the same attitude ( abuse everyone, miscalculation, emotion over use of brain, etc.), then you will see the coming of another SS’ner as a president before an Igbo man.

I feel your pain but I don’t have any mercy to show!

You are right bro but this is not about Nairalanders and their deceptive antics alone. It is about real noise of treachery from APC Northerners with names and faces like EL Rufai who now act as if yesterday, when they and Buhari could not win an election, never existed. Those sort need to be reminded that the SW leaders did everything in their power to ensure the North and Buhari won in 2015 and 2019. That was not done so upstarts like El Rufai can now begin mouthing off. The Yorubas APC played their part without fault in the spirit of 'one good turn deserves another'. Those who are impatient to wait 8 years like El Rufai and would rather advice the North to become unscrupulous and dishonourable cheats should know that actions have consequences.

The APC can indeed even cede its ticket to a Northerner but this will signal the death knell of the SW ever considering the North as honourable since the region and its leaders spared no human and material expense to help Buhari win in 2015 and 2019. If we think how many times Buhari ran and lost before the 2015 win, aided by the merger Tinubu convened and worked hard to get over the line, then even a baby will understand the sheer arrogance of Northerners like El Rufai daring to suggest they can continue ruling indefinitely because of their number. Did the opposition in the North not have the number when PDP was dealing with them to the extent Buhari and Ribadu could not displace GEJ a Southerner in 2011?

Are Northerners like EL Rufai and co dumb not to know GEJ and the PDP would have won easily in 2015 minus the APC merger? Buhari would not be President today and those who rode on his back to become Governors like EL Rufai would be stranded today. Ingratitude is a bad quality in a man and that is the message for the likes of El Rufai.

Lol, @the bold statement, you are a defeated entity in Nigeria, you can’t even summon an iota of courage to contest in 2023 under PDP that you swore allegiance to.

The worst thing with Yoruba is that ALWAYS assume they are smarter than everybody else grin grin grin grin grin grin

Why should Igbo contest in PDP and not APC? So Yoruba is good to contest in APC but not Igbo?
APC should give it's Presidential candidacy in 2023 to Rotimi Amaechi! Afterall, he has contributed more than any person in APC today.

Every APC supporter appreciates Amaechi and his sacrifice for the Party. Yet him, Okorocha, Ngige, Igbokwe , Ogbonaya Onu et al have no more entitlement, in the grand scheme of things, than Osinbajo, Tinubu, Fashola, Fayemi et al when you consider the thousands of influential Yorubas who delivered for Buhari and the North like the five Governors who gave Buhari wins in all APC States in the SW bar PDP Ekiti in 2015 while Okorocha, Ameachi et al could not do same for PMB.

Get real and stop being sentimental. SS had the Presidency for over 5 years undeservingly through GEJ because of the death of Yar Adua and the greed and dishonourable character of men like GEJ, OBJ et al back then who did not think of the future and destroyed equitable power-sharing arrangement that was best for the stability of Nigeria.

Buhari then took over with APC that believes in the North-South rotation the PDP killed because of the greed of some of their leaders. You think it will now go to SS so they can get another possible 8 years to make 13 since 2007 while the Yorubas have been not produced a President for decades despite adding the most value to the APC?

If not that you lot hate Tinubu foolishly, you will know there will be no APC without him and Buhari would not be President. El Rufai would not be a governor and Amaechi would not be the respected Minister he is today. Remember the '11 is greater than 16" NGF( Nigeria Governor forum) election episode days of PDP plus GEJ many disregard for democracy, equity and due process, in his desperation to remain beyond 2015, that drove the likes of Amaechi, Tambuwal and Kwankwaso out of the PDP?

Who put a stop to that and diplomatically brought 'NPDP' Amaechi and co into the APC fold, so they never suffered persecution and banishment to political wilderness, if not Tinubu mainly? Buhari and others like EL Rufai are not strong on conciliatory diplomacy and negotiation. It was Tinubu and his SW boys who were good at that and ensured clashing egos were sated so APC could be born and grow into a challenger to PDP.

Revisionism of history is in your DNA. APC 2023 ticket is for the SW or North. Not for SS (for obvious reason to do with GEJ preceding Buhari) and not for SE because the Igbos can simply not be trusted right now with all the trouble they are causing up and down.
