@pu7p3, it depends on d versi0n. U w0n't think an ex soldier with c0mbat skills will go working as a butler for a billi0naire just like that. I think the 'butler' thingy is a fr0nt, like in BvS and JL. Check it out, what butler would have extensive kn0wledge of engineering, medical, c0mbat skills and intelligence? Had it been it was the average Alfred portrayed in s0me works, then yes. But right fr0m BvS, i knew then that butler tag was a fr0nt just like how John Diggle identifies himself as Oliver Queen's bodyguard.

just watched the season finale of pennyworth, i rate it 10/10, they did everything right, really really good.
Alfred's father was pained that his son was the one who ruined his revolution, he just did his best to hide it...
Alot of people owe Alfred their lifes sha... Am looking forward to season 2 and no drop in quality please, instead of them to reduce quality, let them end it here, my opinion though.
