Did you get refused too? You can actually reapply anytime so long as you addressed the reason for the initial refusal. Okolinneoma: |

Well said @Hotstepper. I used to be active in the main "Canadian Student Visa Thread" before i got really busy. That thread is relatively successful because people come back to share their experiences. Thats the only way this one can stay active/vibrant " Hotstepper: |

Good, next time let it be an opinon and leave my name out of it. If I put up drs no here for everyone to see,how is it my problem that people do not come bk. We are people have problem already so each to their own. However, I am.not.going to do that work again of suffering to get a dr to post it here, afterall I am not the one in need of it. Expectant mothers and their spouse should do some work too so just maybe, people come. Maybe the feedback will start from ur 3 personal friends. Bluefin: 2 Likes |

lami88:Yes, the travel history is true. However, travel history is one of the parameters used in evaluating an application. It's not an isolated case. If other parameters weigh higher, an applicant might be qualified. We have seen applicant here with no travel history and was given. Again we have seen people here too with travel history to developed countries and even with even valid US visa and got denied. So it's not an isolated case. The problem now is, even those who meet the requirements are now being denied which in my view is a result of our socio-economic climate. |

Finnalllyyy...I get to give my post as I have been reading and taking notes from page 1. This is because I didnt want to ask questios that has already been addressed. Thank you to everyone that have TAKEN PRECIOUS TIME to keep the thread going. I observed that it may be safer to apply for tourist or visit visa while Not pregnant and then get pregnant and arm up with "water tight" documentation and funds and declare intent at POE. Pls correct if this is incorrect, also if I ask a question that has been answered, it must be that I must have missed it. So I had my baby 2018 in USA with B2 declared and shared transcript etc on USA platform. My baby and I have been to S.A and got U.K visa for1 week in November to visit siblings. My husband is a frequent traveler with all valid visas. I'm looking at applying from UK for canada visa not that I am not yet pregnant. Will it increase my chances or speed up duration of the process? Can I start it there and complete in lagos or can it be completed while I am there. Pls gurus, your take on this. |

I hope this ur answer is not pointing at me. I have not asked anyone to contact me.It is the responsibility of ppl like u who come to give birth to give feed bk or even reaearxh for drs so ppl.will.havs more options. I remember one or 2 ppl asked about dr in Calgary. Nobody said anything for a long time. I replied saying i will do.some.calls which i did by googling nos nd calling nd also asked few 2 ppl i know in Calgary nd they said their dr is not taking. My point is that Hotstepper is nobody"s problem.I cannot be proactive wen I am.not the one in need of the information and people who will do little or nothing. And I.will.keep.saying it, Canada is not like US.as health systema differ. In Canada u will have to a lot difficulty gettinf a dr nd the ones i did get, what happened? People came and spoilt it nd they stopped. As I mentioned ealier nd i tell people, go bk to NL nd find information but if I am going to.do that research then i will.charge for it, it is that simple. If u know like am, do it urself. And I.will continue to say google is ur friwnd esp on this thread that is still growing as Nigerians wants to be spoonfeed. If u ask a question and nobody answers, it is likely nobody knowa it then why not use google..if to.use google.to reaearch about stupid things like BBN, then we become experts. Have a nice day nd plz.encourage ur fellow people to give back Bluefin: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hi @iwuoahsamuels, the problem with this approach is that Canada visitors visa duration is at the discretion of the visa officer. One may give you just enough time (eg 6 months) to travel for tourist/visit purpose stated. While another may decide to give say untill the expiry of your passport. There is no "one size fits all" approach on this. As to applying from UK, i reckon you are ony visiting hence you dont have staus there. You will have apply from Nigeria or any location you have status (residence). Lastly having these other country visas you mentioned on your passport will help your application from a travel hisory perspective. Hope this answers your question. iwuoahsamuels: |

lami88: Thanks for that, i think it's just best to work on travel history. I wish all the expectant mother's success, Canada is more strict now that USA is bouncing a lot of people. |

That's not true. My brother was given Visa without any travel history. He has never left Nigeria for anything. He applied for Canadian Visa and was given. lami88: |

Hello House, Please I am 28 weeks gone and I plan birthing in Canada. Does anyone know a good Hospital/Dr in Ontario? @Hotstepper, been following your write-ups on this. Please I need your help on the processes. Planning to apply visa by next week. Thank you. |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 9:41pm On Oct 03, 2019 |
Congratulations on your pregnancy. 1. You will have to log into Canada immigration website and fill the application form online or you do paper one. 2. You will need to search for Dr that takes international patient if you want to apply for a medical visa. 3. Gather your documents and apply I hope this helps Rebecca08: 1 Like |
