charlesemeka85: CHIDERA EJUKE IS A BETTER PLAYER THAN BUKAYO SAKA. HE IS ALSO A WINGER AND PLAYS FOR HEERENVEN IN THE DUCTH LEAGUE. WE DO NOT AND I REPEAT WE DO NOT NEED THESE FOREIGN BORN PLAYERS. IN FACT CHIDERA EJUKE IS CALLED THE NIGERIAN INIESTA AS HE IS VERY SKILLFILL. WE NEED TO START APPRECIATING OUR HOME GROWN TALENTS IN OUR YOUTH COMPETITIONS AND ACADEMIES. IT IS RIDICULOUS SCRAMBLING FOR FOREIGN BASED PLAYERS. THEY SHOULD BE AN AFTER THOUGHT AND NOT THE MAIN THING WE HAVE PLAYERS AS GOOD AS MBAPE IN LAGOS, POURT HARCOURT AND ABUJA BUT IN OUR STUPIDITY WE WILL REFUSE TO DEVELOP THEM 6 Likes |

Oga no one doubts the fact that Ejuke is good enough for the super eagles. I posted something here few days ago on Rohr's eyes set on Ejuke who have been doing marvelously well in the eirdivisie. You can pour your frustration on Imama who ignored him but invited a 2nd tier player from Austria. Rohr just replied to a question and didn't say he was gonna invite Saka soon but said it will he a bit difficult since he has official caps for the English youth team. Also I see no wrong in having Ejuke and Saka in the u23 or current super eagles set up. The aim is having a large pool of young talented players. Stop been emotional rather listen to your head the more. Philosopher1979: 4 Likes |

That will happen in due time. There re still chances of getting uduokhai. I think for now we are a bit covered in the cb position even if balogun retires today. We still have ekong, awaziem, omeruo and ajayi. In a season or two I believe few will spring up edi287: 1 Like |

kennysville:You can't say we don't want foreign born, once a player is eligible to play for us it's very OK for us to approach such player, Every country does it even countries with superb organisation. There's no embarrassment if we approach a player and he turn us down, Spain approached Laporte he said no they did to Griezman too he said no Costa turned Brazil down for Spain, Jorginho flirted with his native Brazil for a call-up but them no look his side till Italy capped him after rejecting them earlier nobody was embarrassed. we Nigerians like to dey proud for nothing we aren't even top 3 best African team in history, if we see foreign born who will add value to our team we approach if he turn us down we'll move on 12 Likes 3 Shares |

jihday: Those countries have a working youth structure, that compensates if the approached player does not play for them, what do we have? We sorely RELY on these foreign players to breach GAPING holes in our team, that's we desperately chase them and are embarrassingly refused We refuse to work on our production line because we believe an ENGLAND born, ENGLAND bred, ENGLAND trained player would deny his country of residence and play for us |

Instead of lobbying the NFF to come up with a development plan that will help our national team progress further we are here talking about calling up more foreign born players.. That's how we will keep calling up players every year and keep building the team with no result! |

I don't think English groomed players are that talented self.. they have the best football infrastructure in the world but not the talents.. that's why it took them ages to win their first u-17 and u-20 world cup.. it's their media that hype their players unnecessary |

Eberechi is making the Championship look Eze By Oliver Walker October 2nd, 2019 Eberechi Eze of Queen’s Park Rangers first came to our attention during his breakout loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers in 2017-18. He continued to show promise after breaking through into the QPR first team in 2018-19, and has now made a start to this season that’s impossible to ignore. A player that was previously simmering may now be reaching boiling point. The summer appointment of Mark Warburton as manager has turned QPR from unremarkable Championship no-hopers to a side full of attacking intention and in Eze they have a player ready-made to thrive on such freedom of expression. Equally comfortable playing as a #10 or out wide, the 21 year old has also impressed in a deeper role, featuring on several occasions as an #8 in a 3-1-4-2. Clearly enjoying the deeper starting role, Eze’s gotten on the ball in the earlier stages of QPR’s possession and by utilising his close control, quick feet and athletic ability to drive through the midfield, completing no fewer than 85% of his ball carries that end within the opposition half, he’s been a real force at turning defence into attack. The advanced positions he regularly ends up in means it’s appropriate to look at his contribution against the boundaries for more advanced midfielders and wide players as well. Eze’s ability to make an impact in the final third has been key to QPR’s strong start and his Scoring Contribution rate of 0.55 (goals + assists per 90 minutes) ranks him second for all players in the Championship under the age of 22, with his expected rates (xG + xG assisted) not far behind either at 0.33. Far from just a capable carrier, he also has the passing mastery to match. A really smart user of the ball in and around the final third, Eze has the capability to see an opportunity to play a killer pass but also the technical accomplishment to execute them as well, completing 87% of his passes into and within the attacking third. As expected, the rumour mill has begun to turn with Southampton and Spurs the Premier League sides most recently linked, a step up that will become an expectation rather than a possibility should Eze maintain his fine start.

Philosopher1979: Your super eagles is made up of foreign born player. Remove all the foreign born and dual citizen players from the Super Eagles, what kind of team would you have now? No Iwobi, Aina, Ekong, Ebuehi, Semi Ajayi, Balogun. These players will continue to play an integral part of our future. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

charlesemeka85: thanks bro... the way many reason here ignite my fears in the youth system of this country.... why can't we think outside the box? must we throw away a baby with the bath water?? can't we maximize both foreign born and home groomed players to our advantage? I hate it when peeps give up so easy.... the fact that I experience failures plying a particular route that have sometimes give me success too.... is not enough reason to run away or refuse to ply that route... instead I will ply same route again but this time with wisdom and being extra smart. thanks for your reply 2 Likes 1 Share |

I can guarantee y'all that Ebere Eze sees Nigeria as second choice and if he has any solid plans for his career he is targeting an English call up NFF tactics and suaveness will not convince a player to play in a defunct football structure |

Why it will be difficult for Arsenal’s Saka to play for Super Eagles – Rohr Don Silas Don Silas 2 hours ago Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has insisted that it would be difficult for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka to play for Nigeria now ahead of England unless the youngster’s eligibility status is sorted out. Rohr stated this ahead of Nigeria’s international friendly match against Brazil on October 13 in Singapore. “On Bukayo Saka of Arsenal, it is not easy to invite players who has played already for England or other countries in the U-17, U-18 and U-20 categories. “It is very tedious and requires long processes to do so. I could remember that it took us one year before Ola Aina’s issue was resolved before he was cleared by FIFA and was eligible to play for us (Super Eagles), Rohr told Sportinglife. Saka has been impressive for Unai Emery’sArsenal so far this season. The 18-year-old has scored two goals and registered two assists in five matches for Arsenal this term. |

Some of us here are worst than racist. So because someone is born abroad makes him lesser Nigerian? Here we are agitating and refusing the idea of infusing some of our sons born abroad who re willing to play for us with the excuse that they aren't dedicated and also blocks the inclusion of locally groomed players. Imagine the current super eagles without the likes of Iwobi Aina, Ekong, balogun, the same ekong and balogun oliseh and siasia said aren't good and strong enough for African football later went on to form a defensive combo that have seen us through the past 3 years. We really need to reason like pple who are open to new ideas and development instead of allowing sentiment and emotions becloud our sense of reasoning. Tufiakwa! Some of us are worst than vipers 2 Likes |
