Seniors in the house, I pay homage and salute everyone. Please, I have few questions and would greatly appreciate any clarification on them. I have: B.Sc Political Science (2008) M.Sc Political Science (2012) and have worked as a Public Relations Officer from 2009-2019) My Questions 1. Has anyone here gotten a positive assessment from VETASSESS using Public Relations Officer? 2. Do I have any chance with my qualifications and employment? Please someone should assist me with best way forward. Thank you all. |

Mr. Bellong. Thank you for your usual help, it is well appreciated. Quick one. As I mentioned earlier, the required qualification for Insurance Broker (my profession is Skill level 2 = HND). I listed both my Insurance ND and HND on vetassess application. But you know Nigeria factor with getting Transcript out. I was able to get my HND transcript from my school after 4 months with connections and all. I know people that is still expecting theirs since January. My HND transcript was picked by courier service two days ago 02/10/2019. As it is, I have no idea when the ND transcript will get out. My question is, from your experience, is my HND alone enough or I have to assess my ND as well. Thank you bellong: |

My two cents is for you to search for your occupation using ( https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/ ) What should be best fit for you is; 225311: Public Relations Professional You need to go through the job description as well as the educational qualification requirements. Once you've determined that the job description fits, further information on how to proceed is on the first page of this thread. P.S. From my little findings, Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales are actively selecting applications. Raymum: |

[ Thank you so much. I have checked and I think the best fit is Public Relations Professional as mentioned. I'm currently in Aussie on Student Visa (Western Australia), although I plan to move to a uni in regional area next semester. I will follow through with the points you highlighted. Please, if anyone has done ssessment using Public Relations Professional kindly give me some success tips. Thanks in anticipation. quote author=ajayidebo post=82827559]My two cents is for you to search for your occupation using ( https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/ ) What should be best fit for you is; 225311: Public Relations Professional You need to go through the job description as well as the educational qualification requirements. bellong:I understand what he's saying. The occupation was nominated in July by SA and few other states for 489. Due to the closure of 489, it turned red. Currently, Anzsco can't be used as yardstick to process assessment as most occupations are currently not available due to end of 489. As long as the occupations were available prior to now for nomination, there is a high probability that those occupations will be available by November 16. Cc @ajayidebo |

ajayidebo:I'll suggest you submit only the HND if you want to claim at least 5 points in Experience. There is no need submitting the BSc since it was awarded just last year. You will lose experience point submitting the BSc to Vetassess |

Raymum:You didn't state the university you got your BSc from, it will help review your case better. 1. If you have your documents and Job description we'll aligned, you will be fine. 2. Please see below comment from Vetassess fact sheet for the occupation Applicants must ensure they nominate the occupation which most closely matches their qualifications and employment. This occupation is different to 225113 Marketing Specialist and 225111 Advertising Specialist and 225112 Market Research Analyst. Employment within these professions would not be assessed positively for the occupation of Public Relations Professional. |

Superted01:Payment: 880 for normal processing 1480 for priority processing May I ask why you are writing Toefl and not IELTS or PTE? Since her experience is only immediately after the MSc, you only need to submit the MSc. It's even a related degree Just ensure the job descriptions do not relate to the following occupations 225113 Marketing Specialist 225111 Advertising Specialist and 225112 Market Research Analyst. 1 Like |

Raymum:Oh, you can't use your BSc then cos NAU is a tier 2 University. You should use your MSc, however Vetassess will only approve experience from 2012 and still deduct at least 1 year from the approved experience. Good luck |

@tunlex01, @ajayidebo do you mind if I send my Job Description to you, so that you tell me if it align with Public Relations Professionals? or suggest anyone else that could assist... Thanks. Please, bros bellong I'm in Perth. I need all the guidance to get things right and help me decide on the Uni and State to transfer to next Semester. I was thinking of ACT but it seem as though duration of residing there before being nominated would delay the process for me. It's a bit confusing for me. |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 10:10pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
@Raymum, What are you studying? WA also sponsors people who study in the state. Depending on what you are currently studying, there may not be any point running to another state when you can get what you seek where you are. I am in Perth too. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 10:12pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Superted01: Priority processing is fast tracked, your assessment can be completed within days while normal may take up to 12 weeks. 2 Likes |

@tunlex i appreciate your guidance, thank you. Please, does that mean I have to send only my M.Sc Cert/Transcript to Vetassess? By the time they deduct everything only God knows where I will land. quote author=tunlex01 post=82870517] Oh, you can't use your BSc then cos NAU is a tier 2 University. Raymum: Social worker is on the graduate stream list. If you complete a bachelor or Masters degree in social Work, WA can sponsor you under the graduate stream. |

@bellong That's true. I'm just thinking of getting PR before graduation. Thank you bros, I will check out my options and see how it goes. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 6:04am On Oct 06, 2019 |
Raymum: No state will give you PR before graduation because they expect you to complete your studies in their state. However, if you want to use your Nigeria experience and qualification, you have to do your study in the state nominating that occupation because states don't sponsor onshore applicants not resident in their state. 1 Like |
