It is with great pride that I celebrate my dear Uchechi Promise Echefu for making Imo State proud by graduating as the best Naval Cadet from the Nigeria Defense Academy, the first time an Imolite would achieve such feat.

Uchechi graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Science in the faculty of Military Science and Inter Disciplinary Studies. She also received the following academic awards.

1. Commander in Chief best graduating cadet Academic Award
2. Afe Bablola best Behaved graduating cadet Award
3. Chief of Defence staff best graduating cadet Award in Military Science and Inter Disciplinary Studies
4. Commandant Best graduating cadet in Computer Science.
5. Best graduating cadet in Navy.

My dear daughter, you have made Mbeke proud, you have made Isiala Mbano proud, you have made Imo State proud, you have made Ala-Igbo proud and you have made Nigeria proud. Congratulations and may this be the beginning of greater elevations in your life. Looking forward to meeting you in person.

I hope the military makes good use of her skills, imagine if the military sponsor the young woman overseas to further so she can get special skills, she’s going to be a great asset
