it is stressful having a meaningful conversation with the number of ignorant people on this platform.

Nigerians are smart as hell. Now the problem is having intelligence for the long run, something we call wisdom. We lack that.
We say stuff like we do this for our future generations but really we just do things to make life easy for now. We botch things as we go along, neglecting that future individuals would inherit these problems.
We only see the short term goal and ignore the long term because it's too stressful and we want to enjoy it all now.

You know I'm actually beyond surprised that we as a country have precedent to borrow money but our legislative branch can't create or pass a "Capital Project" bill? A bill that would enforce every administration to work on a major capital project and reach a particular milestone. Capital Projects like Public Infrastructure, Road networks, amongst others...

Those that are intelligent to think of this end up migrating, leaving the motherland to old men stuck in the 60s.

That is why when we go to countries where normal humans are, we complain it is slow, boring...etc. We have to relearn to live, because we have only been existing/surviving in the jungle we hopped on the plane from.

We are intelligent no doubt about that but the environment is not willing to support your idea which makes it a disease. Also we have great numbers of dream killers and stealers where you tell someone your idea then they tell you it won’t work and they go behind you and execute the ideas.Another point is Nepotism l believe you understands the cause.God bless us

We are smart bt more negatively than positively so we are working in reverse mode mostly.

We choose to be better at the negetive things like corruption, indiscipline, greed, fraud, embezzlement, mediocrity, bad governance, tribalism and all that. It’s quite simple why we are how we are. It’s our intentional bad choices and activities.

However at the end of the day we are not really smart because we want to eat our cake and have it.

The way we analise BBN is more important how we contribute to the govt of the day that generally affects our day to day life. What a mediocre.

We the youths only went to schools but, never studied in these schools.

Unfortunately we run a system that will never be productive or competitive. I described it recently as a communist government structure allowing some level of capitalism across board. Unfortunately, government provides public goods and since they seem to be communist in their administrative composition, nothing gets done. The regions have been stifled from growing at their own pace.

I hear there are plans to integrate the Almajiri system into our educational system. What does that even mean? We operate the system like a cook trying to prepare vegetarian meal and non-vegetarian meal inside one pot. Is that even possible?

Nigerians smartness and education is useless because no matter how smart or educated you are, if religion and tribal sentiment still determine who you votes for to determine your future, then your education and smartness is useless and you will even be better as a goat

Federal gov’t should be there only to enact laws and ensure an enabling environment for private enterprise to thrive. What he’s talking about is the unitary system of gov’t...the big, all powerful, all controlling and bullying central gov’t Nigeria has been operating since 1966!

The federal gov’t owns the airports, the seaports, the railway, oil and gas, universities, secondary schools, a large slice of the VAT cake that ordinarily should go to the states where they’re generated.....jeez, i could go on and on!
