To buttress my point, just for knowledge sake (as I am also learning, by doing ) This is the daily time frame with 2 previous cloud breaks (this present one has not even broken before succumbing ) Compare with the weekly and check the corresponding points Meanwhile, the monthly had only just broken below meaning it might be a new momentum for the bears (just my own interpretation though) Also check the monthly for the market leaders NSE30 (my oga BBM favourite) Panel of judges, accurate time keepers With this few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince and not confuse you That the long-term trend is still bearish and not yet over That doesn't mean we can't make money but anything can happen Lol

Agbalowomeri: Is this how you read charts? Even including the monthly? What are you comparing the monthly with? Let's use your chart. Look at 01-01-2016. On the monthly, it showed that was when the low occurred. But when you zoom into the month, you will see the exact day that the low occurred and it was on 19th January 2016. So on the monthly, it lumped it as January but on the daily it gave the exact date. But the fall in the index turned around, didn't it? Why did it turn around? It could still fall more but it turned. Because the signal for recovery is there. It started to rise and then it fell again on 01-03-2017. After that March 2017, it kept rising till January 2018. Why did it rise around March 2017 and not fall further? You need to zoom into the days to see. If you look at March 2017, it showed that the exact day it fell to that point was 06-03-2017. On this day, there was a perfect signal for recovery (just like the January 2016). From 2018, it fell all through till August 2019 and made a low. The index further went lower in October 2019. Zoom into October and you will see the sign for reversal. My point is on some time frame, you may not see the sign for reversal. But you need to zoom into other TF to know what is happening there. A monthly watcher can never expect a double bottom because it hardly comee. So you are meant to zoom into other TF. 1 Like |

A small exercise for Agba As seen in the ASI, Looking at January 2016 when GTB traded at 13.16. When you look at monthly time frame, was there any signal for you to start buying looking at only monthly? What then do you do? Stick to higher time frame? Now you zoom into January 2016 to see the daily chart. Aha.... It is there on 18 January 2016. Now looking at 18 January 2016, was there any signal for you to start to buy? It is just an exercise. Meshpips can give you a hand incase you want extra paper |

The buy signal for most banking stocks was between 14th to 16th of August 2019. Look at Access at 5.45, UBA at 5.4, Zenith at 15.80, GTB at 25.50, FCMB at 1.41, Fidelity at 1.40, FBN at 4.30 We will see if it breaks below these numbers. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 1:40pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Agbalowomeri: So someone who invested in 2009 will have to wait till 2012 before he buys again? Double bottom is within in year. As in it is low now, it spikes within some months, then it goes lower. Remember, the double bottom for a perfect buy sign must be : (1) a low... (2) a pull-back and (3) another low but this time lower than 1. All happening withing a year. You can't see that on the Monthly. But it is there on the daily. Where the daily is obscure, then zoom in and you will see it. Have you got answers to my questions? 1 Like |

FYI ... Beware of meshpips antics Optimisticgondy: First, I'm so sorry for the monetary loss. But I also want to thank you for the great service you've done for coming out to write about your experience with him (Meshpips). I'm sure you've saved a lot of other traders here from fallen victim to him. I hope others learn from this experience, both new and old traders. We've got a lot of fake traders out there ( NOT JUST ON NAIRALAND BUT ALL OTHER DIFFERENT FORUMS ), they will go as far to doctored images, chart, account history, JUST TO FOOL YOU. OF course, there's a way to tell and pointers to look at to detect the fakers. Ps: I thought Meshpips is rude in the way he replies to you and he is so unrepentant . Bad manners, If I burn someone's account, at least, I would know how to talk back at the person. meshpips: |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 1:50pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
Agbalowomeri: Now let's assume that the index(or a particular stock) falls further for the month, what gives you the buy signal. Buy looking at just price? Let's assume that November, December, Keeps falling further, what determines when you should enter the market? It can't just be low price because it can get lower (possibilities). At least FA uses dividend yields to enter based on if it has reached his satisfied yield. So what your tool what points you that you should buy now? I have explaind earlier that using just one tool isn't enough. I have also explained that switching betweem time frame to find the true bottom is practicable when combined with other tools. Otherwise a Monthly watch will never buy a stock on time. Because after 1 month of fsll, the next month it is rising. 1 Like |

Agbalowomeri: You can't track separate bottoms na . Cc Veecovee The double (second) bottom has to do with it appearing close to the first one. Not too separated. If it is win weeks, that will be fine. Some stocks can even make the second bottom but it should not be a buy. That was why I saud other tools will help you easily to tell this. 1 Like |

It’s going to be bullish December January as “ALWAYS “ no too much analysis needed.. Nse will agree to both FA and TA during that time.. all stocks, dead or alive will move..That’s just the way it is.. same old same old ways Just look for good entry within now till November then come and sell before January ending.. 2 Likes |
