Olayinka has been a winger for the past few games i checked and I was thinking he is a striker

If he has been playing there for long then his goal scoring stats is not bad as I think

He is a winger.

You are right about the quality of their midfield department. Soumare and Andre are just merely there. Nothing special. Renato Sanches is yet to show why Lille went for him. He has the quality but he just has not got it kicking yet. Yazici is not consistent enough.

Anyway shaa... I just hope Christophe Galtier can play Osimhen up top alone much more with the usual three musketeers of Ikone, Bamba and Araujo behind him. That way, Osimhen has the entire space upfront to himself to exploit rather than sharing it with Remy who he has to work for sef.

I think it is a necessary evil. I don't see Ikone and Bamba scoring 10 goals each so the coach must look other places for goals. Remi can also play on the wings sha so maybe he will go for that next.

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen can't stop scoring as he netted his seventh Ligue 1 goal during Lille's 2-2 draw with Nimes in Sunday's encounter.

Lille, who were playing in front of their supporters, opened the scoring in the 12th minute via Loic Remy's shot but Nimes equalized before the break as Renaud Ripart converted from the spot.

The away side took the lead in the 71st minute when Kevin Denkey found the back of the net but Osimhen ensured that Lille's supporters have something to cheer when his shot went straight into the net in the 80th minute.

Though the Nigerian was cautioned in the 38th minute of the encounter, his goal was enough to attract positive comments from the fans, and here are some of their comments on Twitter.

@FootballOwl1: "And another! @victorosimhen9 just cannot stop scoring! Takes him to 7 league goals for the season and this youngster really is something special # Osimhen #LOSCNO"

@QuietPapers: "His name is Victor Osimhen and he never stops scoring..."

@TheOddSolace: "Customary Victor Osimhen goal at Stade Pierre Mauroy. The striker is first to a rebound inside the box to pull Lille level against Nimes. 2-2 with just under 10' to go."

I can't wait to see Mikel, Nwakaeme and Onazi in the same lineup for their club

The streets are more important than any single academy. There are things you learn on the streets that can't be thought by even Pep Guardiola. You can only take so much of what you learn at academies on the pitch but you will always need street smarts and you will always need toughness. They don't teach you that at academies.

Bro, I like street honed footballers but the bolder is not true in today's football. While I agree with you that the things you learn on the streets, no Gaurdiola can teach my point is that Gaurdiola teaches is what modern football needs. So all the street football as good as it to you and me, is simply superfluous except the player gets prized away quickly from the streets.

Where did Pele and Maradona hone their skills? On the streets.

But Messi and Ronaldo were taken away from street football quite early.

That's my point.

Dennis Emmanuel Bonaventure is having one of his best season in front of a goal with another goal for Club Brugge in their 4-0 win over Gent inn the Belgium Division A.

Dennis followed up his brace against Real Madrid on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League with a 51 minute goal to kill off any chance of Gent sneaking into the game as his strike took scores to 3-0 before Mbaye Diagne made it 4-0.

The goal took his tally for the season to five in 12 games in all competitions with two coming in the UEFA Champions League where he also scored once in the qualifiers. In the league he has two goals to his name.

He is among the players invited by the coach of Nigeria Gernot Rohr for their October 13th friendly game against Brazil after making his senior national team bow in the 2-2 friendly draw against Ukraine last month.

POINT OF CORRECTION: Sadiq Umar was expected to start but somehow he is missing from the match day squad altogether. He is not involved at all for Partizan Belgrade.

Wetin dey do our players this weekend? First it was shockingly Kalu, now it is Sadiq. Two sure starters for their sides. We have since discovered Kalu's was due to injury which was revealed late. I hope Sadiq is okay.

Again you are right. Galtier knows Osimhen cannot be their only option in search of goals. Anyhow shaa, Galtier should try play Remy from the wings in a 4-2-3-1 then. This 4-4-2 can be quite limiting for Lille sometimes.
