These figures are so wrong. This movie is a low budget movie and had little marketing as most of the marketing was done via social media, bad publicity and WOM.

This is not a blockbuster movie.

It is a character study movie on mental illness and how society treats its rejects... It is also created for Oscar buzz.

The reason why it opened big is because the villain (joker) is the most popular CB &CBM villain.

I know the fact that venom is spiderman's villian, my point is that the venom movie didn't portray him as a villian but as an hero. They even gave him a villian, the only difference is that he doesn't/didn't have a don't kill principle which other heroes have.

There was little to no marketing budget and that's why it was estimated to 70mil(which is even a stretch by fans that just to be safe cos it's 60mil on Wikipedia)...only production was 55mil and it has broken even already

It should be R-rated if we go by the name. But its Disney, everything is childish and cash grab.
