Allegation said sex for grades, documentary showed something else.

Why didn't the undercover reporter disguise as a student seeking for better grade in exchange for sex?

That way we will know the lecturers true response to such matters.

Could it be they tried that first and the men didn't fall?

God bless you jare, dont mind sentimental and emotional Nigerians that cant reason to see BBC has motives to all this

the thing is,in Ghana, we have seen deeper investigative journalism by Anas and Manasseh Azure who get into the core of the issues and show you hardcore evidence that nobody can deny. What the BBC did was a very clumsy inconclusive and poor work.
Firstly, the said student was not in the lecturer's class thus he couldn't influence her grades and secondly there was no intimate touch much more sexual relationship or even a mere discussion of if change of grade can occur had a sex taken place.Nothing was agreed. The lady refused the relationship or marriage proposal and that was the end.You can't go around screaming sexual harassment or sex for grade with such shallow evidence. Anas in his investigation really bribed a judge for a real case to be dismissed, he bribed a referee for a premiership match to be rigged and a dubious penalty awarded. He really gives the money to the GFA president and doesn't ask for it back. That's what we call hard evidence. He doesn't just tell the judge i will give you money but refuses and runs to the public claiming rot in the judiciary with just an audio promise. Next time,do a proper job or hand it over to real professionals like Anas

The documentary was conclusive; these denials just shows a lack of moral character and weakness on the part of the authorities..but then again, Africans are not known for the strength of their wills.

Let's assume there is no evidence, what they are trying to say it that it is okay for them to engage in whatever sex misadventure t their workplace(the UNI).
Can he allow his child of that age to go out with the man in such settings?

undercover can't do that because she is not a student of the school. the best thing they can do Is to pretend as if she need admission. I think what BBC Africa should do is to get real student of the institutions, the bold and secretive ones to do the job neatly. even if possible, they should allow them to get Down on them.

I have watched the full video and I speak on behalf of the two Ghanaian lecturers who never touched the girls. The girls likewise claim they were not their students in the video. They were asked to be in a relationship and they refused and that was it.No grades can even be promised since they claimed they're not in their class. You see in Ghana we're strongly patriotic and we don't wash our dirty linens in public. This case will be handled internally and nobody will hear of it again. We don't just believe and accept anything from outside against our people. That's why our public image and reputation is among the best in Africa regardless of our internal affairs which is still clean and an open society though. And mind you our media was ranked number 1 in Africa and number 23 worldwide ahead of even the UK media in the 2018 World Press Freedom Index.

Except u want to use a real student (as in a continuing student) as d undercover reporter, it is impossible to pose as one.

Except maybe they have enough resources and time sha...for d undercover reporter to gain admission into a department under investigation, fail on purpose and then go for d kill.

Fair enough... I have to agree to the logic of the arguments that there was no offer of sex for grades in this particular case.

However, I feel solicitation is against the rules of conduct of the University, and should be heavily discouraged.

Would you allow your employee to have an affair with your customer in your work environment?
As long this happened inside the school and the man promised her he would help his career(being her masters at that time), there is gross
misconduct already but I understand that we have no dignity and we don't think that deeply.
I gave up on to Africa a long time ago.
I wept for Africa and mostly the Nairalanders commenting gibberish and supporting evil

no concrete evidence against the Ghana lecturers? Hypocrites every where if MTN release all your private communication we will find dozens of inappropriate communication so does that mean because you sometimes have in appropriate communications with a female then you have sexually harassed her? The unilag prof is so obvious that one case is signed sealed and delivered...lol

Redemption is hard. Everyone that has passed through University in Nigeria has a story about sex for grade. Both students and lecturers are culpable. Students are prepare for corruption from primary school to higher institutions. Not all students and not all lecturers engage in this practice however the few that do cause significant damage. Ghana should carry out it's own investigation instead of outrightly dismissing the claim. I will say BBC should have delve deeper though to have proves beyond doubts.
They delve but they could not get something concrete apart from the Nigerian prof...lol
