What you think is the best for you, might not actually be the best, Only God knows what's best for you. You did ur best, passed CBT, went for interviews & prayed.

Pray this way instead" God, I wish to be among the successful in this NNPC recruitment if you think that's what's best for me, if it is not, please change it for what's best for me"
That last line is very hard to say even though its a good prayer grin grin

Fellow APL hopefuls,
having tried so hard to focus on my current job while waiting like d rest of us, I had to place a call to a relative (who by the way is about to made a GM or something like that)..After the usual pleasantries of a nephew calling an uncle, he was genuinely surprised that I was involved in d current recruitment.he asked why I have never mentioned it(cos we have met a few times after my interview) I laughed over it.. (main reason for not telling him is cos this uncle of mine is a stickler for merit and due process as in old school imperial college graduate)
Anyways, from the conversation, I observed he knew more than he divulged(wasnt surprised cos that is him) but bottom line,i got 4 points crystal clear..
1. The recruitment process even though it ran into bottlenecks vis a vis interference from some powers wasn't CANCELLED..infact let me quote him, "the amount of time and money that was invested in the process defeated all arguments from certain quarters for it's cancellation"

2. Yes,there were interferences at d end of the day but to his knowledge, it was very minimal.less than 5percent of total names.in his words, this is d most transparent recruitment process he has seen in his 27years in the system

3. GT list is actually ready but EH isn't entirely ready..According to him, they are still matching them to d different subsidiaries..i asked him how can that be cos I believed every EH from his resume and experience already applied to d positions best suited as advertised which should make placement easy. (eg, my work experience can only fit into NPDC) and his reply..that some subsidiaries may need 3 accountants whereas some may need 10 and most importantly, that some "interferences" also came with a subsidiary of choice.. (meaning some powers came with candidates and also demanded the subsidiary they should b posted to) hence some minor reshuffling

4..Lastly, that APL will come soon.i asked him how soon.. He said he couldn't place a date but it won't pass this last quarter 2019..i probed more and he gave a solid reason for his timeframe. The proforma invoices for the external (non Nnpc) SMEs (subject matter experts) that will be part of the GT training in edjeba has already been approved and the persons have already been notified as to their time schedules which includes this year. I argued dat the budget approved for the proforma invoices could be moved to budget accruals so that the system doesn't retrieve it/and it doesn't affect d next year's budget.. When I said this, he laughed and is like everyone involved in d budget for this recruitment is fighting tooth and nail for it to be concluded this year such that certain inflated figures won't be discovered..
He wished me luck and yabbed me to at least remember to call him if I was shortlisted..

Guys let's be hopeful and keep praying for God's grace last last..

Bros I believe you!!
Weda na true or not, it doesn't matter.
Thank u bros

Ladies and Gentlemen,I have read through your posts with keen interest. The insults and the bashing of people with sources and those without as to which info is credible is funny and ridiculous.
I just want to help a little bit with information that is available to me to help those in dire need of it.
I am a Managerial candidate and so I wasn't interviewed with most of you here.
Last week Thursday after the Presidential broadcast, the Minister of Petroleum ordered the NNPC Recruitment list as it was to be published. It was to be published in PUNCH newspaper.
There was pandemonium in Abuja as all the politicians and new management who have been lobbying for name replacements since Kyari took over would've been left without their candidates being put in the list.Even the Minister of Labour went to protest that the composition of the list didn't show Federal character as it was lopsided towards the West and not evenly spread. He was then educated that while Federal character may have a role in the invitation for interviews, only competence and merit are considered after passing the interview. He soft-pedalled but the other powerful politicians made so much noise that the Minister suspended the order to publish on Thursday,3rd October 2019 and gave them 5 working days to sort whatever irregularities they claimed was in the list before he went to South Africa for his 3-day visit. He is back now and will expect their report before it gets published. If he stays true to his first order, then this list will likely be out in the national dailies before emails and texts are even sent out.
I know kids of nowadays will complain about reading long write-ups. It is the bane of our country right now.
No insults please,I could have stayed in my corner just to read and watch misinformation fly all around. At our managerial level of application, our channels of communication with the NNPC are quite different. You may choose to believe or not.Have a great week, my people.

@bolded. I have always wondered how federal character wouldn't be a compromise on required employee competency but this is a reasonable angle to look at it from

I am not sure how it affects the current recruitment. And I have actually pointed this out here before.
The NNPC has been ordered twice already by the office of the accountant general of the federation
to either enroll on the IPPIS or have their salaries stopped starting from this month. The last order was issued to NNPC last month.
The NNPC through PENGASSAN in return threatened an industrial action if the OAGF try to implement their threats.

[NOT REALLY. IF YOU READ CAREFULLY, IT WAS STATED THAT NECESSARY APPROVAL FOR FRESH RECRUITMENT. THIS GOES TO SHOW THAT THE ONGOING RECRUITMENT HAS BEEN COVERED FOR IN THE BUDGET... UPLOADING AND CAPTURING ON THE IPPIS WOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE

Yeah the IPPIS wouldn't have been an issue if NNPC is not trying so hard to resist that right now.

No matter the likes gained, all na still story. The only difference between you and the previous speculators is just that you haven’t put a particular date for APL. By the way, we know the recruitment process isn’t yet cancelled. At this point, I think it would be better for anyone who hears any info from so-called ‘uncle’ or ‘family friend’ to keep such info to themselves, and let APL come when it wants to come. No matter what you heard, it is still speculation, and we know that any current situation of the recruitment can change at any time—Buhari can wake up tomorrow and cancel the stuff or decide to employ cows instead of us. So, until any information is concrete, which is only when APL is really out, any information you guys bring to this forum is simply unnecessary. It will only create unnecessary expectations or palpitations. Bye.
