Have you tried to contact vfs global since they were the one you submitted your application to?

When I submitted my application in September, I got my visa in less than 14 working days.

Hello NL.. My bank jst called me yesterday asking if I summited my statement of account to any embassy.. I said yes nd they asked me which embassy and I said its south African embassy.. They jst hang the call..
Meanwhile I applied for a tourist visa since 28 of june and up till this moment I hv neva heard anything from the embassy.
Pls does it mean the embassy is attending to my application by demanding if am the true owner of the account.. Pls I need advice because I want to apply for withdrawal of my passport.

I applied since june 28.. Up till now am yet to hear from the embassy.. Pls bro hw do I go about it.. I really wana make this movement this year by Gods grace.

DONT withdraw yet. You should get your passport back within a week or so. The embassy just confirmed your bank statement.

You can as well call your bank and ask why they called and ask if you submitted your bank statement to any embassy.. you have every right to ask them anything concerning your bank account with them.

That is standard procedure for some banks. No need calling bank to ask such. It is quite logical. You submitted your bank statement to an embassy, embassy tried to verify from your bank if they were the one that issued the bank statement. Bank called you to confirm if you submitted your statement to an embassy. They asked which embassy and you told them. Bank charge you for that confirmation. Case Closed.

Please, what’s the modus oparandi in VSF Lagos presently? Can I go anytime and submit?

Last I heard, no super long queues, no email earlier for appointment, no going earlier for physical booking of appointment. Just walk in and apply same day. This is info reaching me as at last week. It may change later once the crowd starts piling up again.

Will the embassy accept Airbnb booking? I’m asking because it will require that I pay half the cost of accommodation first. Can I still make reservation with those people that stay around VSF office?

I was not charged by my bank for the confirmation bro.. I just want to knw how long it will take for my passport to be ready for collection since I assume they are attending to my application

I have followed your story, you have a valid reason. I’ll advise you email the director general of home affairs in South Africa. In May, I applied for a relative visa for my wife and after waiting for 14 weeks, there was no response. I emailed him and by the next day, my wife received a call from the embassy. By the he next week, her visa was issued. Find attached the DG’s response. Any other person with a similar story can write any of the contacts on copied. All the best

Please another question, how can i certify my Marriage Certificate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abuja? I was told to go to Abuja but i reside in Lagos. (2) How can i get a medical aid for study in SA for 12 months?

I was at VFS Lagos today for submission and i didn’t spend up to 2hrs to submit my application. I met few peeps there too, but the process was fast.
