Just confused as folic acid is meant to be a no brainer during and before pregnancy.

When I went for my past ante natal, the head doctor felt a tumor in me and said it was fibroid. Today makes it two months post partum and I just did a pelvic scan. To my surprise, there really is fibroid in me. . It's subserous and measuring 3.7*2.1cm. Can it be shrunk as I dread surgery since it is not big? Please, help me out here with advise, etc. Thanks

The only shortcut is to relax. When you relax, the truth is it becomes painless. It is well.

Lagoon is good. My colleague gave birth there while i gave birth at their Apapa branch. The hospital is good

It's all about the mind, don't anticipate pain. The doctor is not going to insert his finger where there's no space to put his finger, so it's not like he's going in there tearing flesh. The worst that can happen is that your hp would be on fire when he's done because of the discomfort, but the more relaxed you can be the more efficient he'd be.

I am starting this thread so we can discuss pregnancy and all the joys, anticipation, expectation and all aspects of this beautiful time in a woman's life.
At times pregnancy can be very difficult and may even become life threatening, when conditions such as pre-eclamsia,gestational diabetes, Incompetent cervix, PPROM etc.  So lets use this space to discuss all aspects of this process.

Nothing in relation to pregnancy is off limits, lets share our experience and support each other in a caring respectful way. Doctors can only give so much advice, but i know first hand peer support is equally important.

So lets start talking!

Below are a list of ladies that have included their delivery dates, lets keep them in mind by praying and meditating and sending them positive energy, I will update the list reguarly, just include the month you are due. I will also update once you confirmed you have delivered. This will allow ladies to see others that are due around the same time as themselves and perhaps you may find a pregnancy "buddy". We are in the same boat o. Sadly, i dont have easy access to it so most of the craving happens only in my head.

My concern recently is my restricted diet. The only foods i eat and ENJOY are plain noodles/egg and yam/egg or plain veg....and then sharwama crave.

This is IT. Everything else is like sawdust...am scared that i am ingesting just carbs/sodium, i even started researching about long term effects of this on my baby, fear....

Sharwama has a bit of different nutrients, protein (chicken or beef or sausage) and then veggies. More to worry about however is the hygiene, please only consume it freshly made and purchase from trusted vendors.

Good day mommas, have been a silent reader. Team April 2020, also a FTM. The journey so far, has been ok. I eat everything, no morning sickness, the only issue is my antenatal drugs irritates me and also irritated to the smell of perfume.

For 2 weeks now, i have been combing every nook and cranny for calabar kitchen to buy nothing special o but I just need a taste of the soup in my life I think am free from that now. But that shawarma ehnn.... I bought one 2days ago, as I was eating, the same time checking dr Google if its cool to take it. I read something like it can easily be contaminated but my longer throat took the better part of me and i couldn't stop eating crazy part is the sausage ( i hardly take it before now cos i don't really like it) but that day it tasted so great i just ignored Google and finished it it is well o.
About garri, I take a little everyday because e be like say its only garri water i can use to take my routine drugs for now o

Sorry mama! My routine drugs also irritates somehow but i currently developed a method that has been working for me. That is by using garri water. Its been helping so far. You can try it too

Am team October. Sorry cappo i didnt clock in since. I watched from d sidelines. I have never hidden anything in my life as much as i hid this pregnancy.
I wasn't ready at all.
But God always has his ways. Am grateful for his mercies.

My plane landed on October 7 to the glory of God.

My birth story.
My scan date were 10 October and 16th october.
Apart from few ms. I really rocked this pregnancy. Started showing at about 5 6months. Had a portable belle.
Worked normally,stressful shifts and all without issues.
Attended less than half of my antenatal.
Depression is real mamas.

On sunday visited my cowife dt just put to bed too. Left her place late around 11pm.
Got home and started vomiting all the ofeakwu and rice i was given.
I kept vomitting every 5mins till bile started coming up.
I didnt sleep at all.
Around 3.45 My tummy started aching. And pressure increased in my pelvic region.
I woke my husband up that lets go to the hospital that this vomiting is going to induce me now..
Immediately we got into d car. Contraction started.
My husband was racing like craze because of our last experience. My second baby was born in d car hehehe.
We got to the hospital around4.30
The sleepy nurses and doctor on duty were still trying to prep me. I told d doctor my labour is usually very short.
I was asked to climb d table since no show and water hasn't broken let them check.
Immediate i climb d table my water broke. The doctor checked i was at 6cm.
They were still trying to look for vein.
Contraction was increasing.the water was coming out more.
I knew what was coming. I just told d doctor my baby is coming.
She didn't understand she was till trying to shush me.
Next contractions. Babys head.
She now started screaming
Someone i told my labor is short.
Madam wait o. Wait o.
Left the needle half way she was using to look for vein.
N now held babys head. Next contractions and push baby's body came out.
She was now blaming me for not waiting till we get to labour room.
We were at d reception injection room.
I didn't even have strength to answer her.
The nurses now called their matron. GOD BLESS HER SOUL.
she now came and told d young doctor not to worry let her take over.
They took my baby to suction.
The matron now found a vein in one prick. Something this young lady has being on since.
Then gave me oxytocin and safely removed the placenta.
Cleaned me up. Didnt have a tear but my previous stitch tore a bit.
So she sutured me.
Cleaned me up n took me to d room.
God did it 4 me.
I had my baby in less dan 10mins of getting to d hospital.

It was just him and him alone.
I give him all d praise.

Captain please forgive my long absence. Submitted my bs. Please add me to d team.


Cabin biscuits and zobo for everyone.
My remaining teamies may God make it easy for us all.

All those still rolling their truck.

You can consume as much sharwama as you want . Aside the fact that its a sweet balanced way to consume needed nutrients, the sausage is a good source of protein. We consume sausage a lot in my house. Only thing to be mindful of is that it is not undercooked/ grilled ( let the sharwama seller know). Enjoy yourself
