Let us use a tokunbo Car as a case study,no matter how neat Tokunbo car is,you will surely fix one or two things when the car arrived Nigeria..

From finds,experiences and the complaints I got so far,our deals resellers is our major problem on this thread,how can you buy used unlocked IPhone X TLC 170k and sell it to your clients @ 250k.....you bought used items, sell it to your clients as used and sell it at reasonable prices and educate your clients that what he/she is buy is used, there will be sign of use..

My conclusion: the mind set of our deal buyers which says If I buy an item from a deal hunters or a pickers and the item have issue, I will get a refund,that law should be abolished...offer up and let go does not have buyer's protection,we should apply the same law here,if there is issue, the issue should be settled amicably between the pickers,deal hunters and buyer....we should all bear it in mind that its risk we are taken buy from abroad,anyone that cannot take such risk should jejely buy from Nigeria....

if items are the way they are being described by deals hunters wey say no fault. If scratch dey. Refund matter no suppose rise. But if fault dey wey it wasn't in the description. Refund should arise. For example if you state factory unlocked. And it's AIN'T unlocked. Then refund should be processed

@dealhunter has raised a concern synonymous with clients / resellers who have jumped on the school of thought that a 3year device should come in pristine .

Thing is everybody buying isn’t on ground to ascertain the full condition of items bought and hence why we have the pickers who definitely put in their outmost best to represent and verify conditions of items (kudos to them; no be beans )

In my own opinion (no time to drive a point home or deliberate on an issue ) I think those who are interested in offering services of deal hunting should have their own personalized T&C z to save stories that touch the heart and so so disagreements .

One thing for sure is if you buy an item as tlc knowing fully well that even the said Dealhunter is in naija here (you both are in naija ) and picker has done outmost best to verify condition of the item , then you should be willing to make compromises (this isn’t a cookie to make fraudulent Dealhunter sell defective items )

Pickers can only detect as far as physical defects and a bit of software or internal ish .

Yea,you are very correct boss,the rebrand stuff was ideal of clone2020,because he contacted me directly and gave me the job of deals hunting for him around Bronx only and posting them on his thread,any deal that I secure then attracts commission of 3k,he uses his money to pay for deals,the ideal of paying directly into pickers account number was his idea,and I took the ideal to other pickers thread they accepted it..

Despite working with him I have every right to work with other pickers from another States...we have passed a lot of stages on this deal hunting stuff,and we are growing better and stronger....a lot of people like Frinx,wildchild,omipect,Dragnet,Techprody,Weysey89,clone2020,Miiky,Lionee,Daaz,Qdvl,Yahalja,Creamie and some other people have contributed to the development of this technology section,especially pick up threads...

If there is an issues,the three parties involved should be the cost,but in a situation whereby the oyinbo seller States the conditions of the items on the ard but deal hunter refused to tell the buyer,if the buyer can proof beyond the reasonable doubt that the deal hunter knew about the conditions of such item, such deal hunter should bear the full cost,the same goes to our pickers, if any of our pickers detect any issue about the item at meeting location, and the picker refuses to inform the deal hunter, such picker should bear the full cost....

The Buyer should request for the full details of d deal,links and pictures of d item and keep it save for the future reference...

I think this is a wrong model. It doesn’t completely depict what this thread stands for. We seem to forget we’re here for cheap and affordable deals. We know where to go if we’re in dire need of scrap.


I’ve had my fair share of failed pickups, refunds, profits & losses and there’s nothing you can tell me about this biz I don’t already know sir.

I’m conclusion, you’re what you sell. If you’re not ready to solidly stand behind/defend what you sell then you have no business here. My humble opinion.

Agreed 101%. A custom T&C for every DealHunter will absolve them of some level of responsibility. Once you’ve chosen to deal with them, you’ve automatically ticked the ‘I agree’ box and anything that comes after is yours to bear.

Personally, my model is, I have a. TLC item you want, all you have to do is make a 50% deposit for it. Once it lands and it doesn’t meet your expectations, the deal is off. No hard feelings.

Trash! You have to take full responsibility. That’s why it’s better you inform your pickers to carry out necessary checks. I remember when mikky picked a cloned iPhone 8+ for me. Sometime two years ago. I refunded my customer fully without telling him to wait till I contact mikky.

The three parties we are taking about here is a deal hunters, pickers and buyer,not your customers outside Nairaland...your case is a typical example of what I'm talking about, Unknowingly, Milky picked clone 8+,assuming you bought the deal through a deal hunter,instead of you or d deal hunter to pay the whole money to your customer,the money should be shared between the three parties involved,eg,deal hunter,buyer and picker.... No be say because you bought the deal through deal hunter,you will now tell d deal hunter that reside in Lagos like you to refund you fully, some of you buyers that suppose to hold d picker responsible will now be running after d deal hunter for full refund like say that deal hunter base in USA,and the funniest part of it is that you pay directly into d pickers account number...

Deal Hunters should have a specific percentage they charge as commission on deals they find. You let the buyer know exactly what the Seller stated, ask the seller questions a buyer need answers to and also notify the picker.

Once the deal hunter links the buyer to the picker for pickup then the deal hunter is entitled to his commission.

Deal Hunters won't be subjected to any refund of commission once the buyer accepts to pay the picker.

The picker should cross check item and confirm to buyer that item is as stated before picking up.

Deal Hunters shouldn't inflate prices, just stick to a fixed commission so a buyer will get a good bargain and also be able to withstand any eventuality.

If you find iphone x for $400 you tell the buyer the actual price and he pays you commission don't inflate the price to $700 and expect the buyer not to complain of dents and obvious wears.
