I would be patient just this once.

United had won a double the season prior. The same squad that had beat Barca in the SFs was that same squad coming into the UCL.

Barca were in the qualifiers. Nobody had them as favourites for anything. They had gone 2 years without winning anything and their best players were sold.

That they went on to win what they won is proof that the manager did a good job. If you don't know how to think, I cannot help you.

It started from his last season at Barca, and all I can say is that pep guardiola always feels too confident going into any fixtures with the return leg in his home. He feels he can always score the much needed goals to advance to the next stage and keep his opponent at bay provided the scoreline doesn't exceed a single goal in the away fixtures.The disappointment of loosing is not entirely his as you would like to paint it.
