Thanks doc. I beg make una find cure asap ooo.

spiceadole:
Let your spouse be seen by a pulmonologist or even a general practitioner who will monitor him, educate and give medications to reduce the frequency and severity of attacks.

Asthma is not hereditary but it runs in families.

I am asthmatic.
I am a medical doctor.

My parents are not asthmatic, neither is any of my siblings.
My paternal grandfather and 2 uncles(now late) were

Last attack I had was 5 years ago in 2014.
I visited a relative who used old rugs and ceiling fans were consumed by dust.
That was all...I was nebulized in the hospital and given medications.
I have been attack free since then.
That does not mean I cannot have an attack if I'm exposed to the allergens.
Asthma is not curable

In as much as I would have loved to make an input why can't just go online and make a proper research on the disease/ disorder rather than coming here to get variable but somewhat less insightful contributions.. Mean no disrespect to those who had taken time to advise him but make we try tell her truth too. How much will he get from us here.
Bro go online and read then go see a specialist for consultation.

sad

Asthma is hereditary, theres is tendency that 1 out of our 3 kids would have it. Although one outgrows it over time.
It's more complex than that. Some kids have asthma early in life and outgrow it by adulthood. Other like me never had asthma at all in childhood and youth, but develop symptoms later in life, when exposed to cold and some allergins. My mum had her first asthma attack well into her 60s.

@OP. You both need to see a doctor for proper tests and to know the type and severity of the asthma. You need to know what you are going into.

Thanks much. Would have my dear check this.

SenecaTheYonger:

Start her on prednisolone, sold under the Brand name Perilon. I used to use inhaler before, but man, that shit made my asthma worse. They said that the salbutamol releases a chemical in the lung that relives you, which is true, but it makes it your lung worse off. So, you practically become dependent on it. But I started using prednisolone, and I haven't used inhaler in months. Take two, morning and night for five days. See if there's any improvement. Please, tell her to also practice stomach breathing, because most asthma patients breath with their chest, very very bad. God bless.

Hello.
Please i want to know what it is to have a spouse that is asthmatic. In all my life, i have never been with or known anyone that suffers from asthma but i would be getting married to one very soon.

What is it like?, Is there any effect on the marital life? conjugation, child birth, hereditary etc.

I am so worried as my would be spouse now daily come up with different stories of fatigue, tiredness, weakness, allergy and all sort that were perfectly hidden before now. I'm worried really...

.Thanks for your honest inputs.

Why are u sounding like you are being forced?

Why do mean by " were perfectly hidden"?

Bros, if such life threatening sickness were hidden from me n I found out a day before the wedding or even in the wedding, am walking away o.

If you are not convinced that you are willing to put up with the incidents attached to it, just walk away from it.

whenever he is having an asthmatic attack, you will need to give him head so the tension in his lungs will go into his balls

also you should not let him go to sleep with blue balls otherwise the tension from his balls will go to his lungs and chest

I'm sorry about your loss. This case isn't chronic and i pray it never gets chronic. I got worried that my dear one uses the inhaler virtually everyday, and this is far from the impression given initially.

Yh hope it doesn't..I thank God the man finally had his rest oo

It's no biggie. You have nothing to worry about. Just recommend seritide inhaler for him whenever he has an attack. That's the best relief for asthma and it prevents continuous attack.

Congratulations all the same.

It must not strike before applying. At least once in 3 days. The person is good to go.
No doubt humans eat three times a day.

Please keep the house well ventilated.
If possible avoid rugs and dusty cushion chairs.

Stress can make someone develop an attack unexpectedly. They should not let rain beat them.

Its been years since I had an attack, but a combination of factors can bring it back anytime. E.g, extreme stress from closing late at work back to back for a week, change of environment to bushy area with lots of pollen, eating vegetable oil, roasted corn, being beaten by the rain, sleeping on exposed mattress foam or dusty cushion chair, poor ventilation in a room with only one window..can precipitate / cause an attack!

Not just th3 drugs alone. You have to stay away from your triggers like smoke and dust. But it won't trigger you immediately, at least not me. The most important thing is to practice how to breathe from your stomach not chest.

It's not lack of oxygen that kills asthma patients, its too much oxygen in the body. The irony.

I'll advise you learn how to inject him because of emergency attack - I'm asthmatic (severe) but my saving grace is that I compelled my spouse to learn how to inject me. She's not a nurse but she's good at injecting - only me.
Now, another shocker is that most health professionals don't know how to diagnose or diffuse asthma or its attack - they have their conventional way of using amynophline injection, which most often takes time to subdue an attack.
Always have 3 dose of adrenaline injections handy: it's the best and sure antidote for attacks.
Extra - ask him to take his franol tablets, even when he's not having an attack. God will heal him.

My grand pa was asthmatic. My father isn't but my brother is. It is hereditary indeed...but what I'm sure of is that it is curable. My brother seems to be cured of it. Alhamdulillah.

It is curable.

Best wishes.

Prednisolone is meant to be used for a short period. It may give you what is called Moon face and can affect some other systems.

I will advise you to get some live snails, soak it in a bucket of water then look for a banana tree around cut it and extract the water and lastly get a good quantity of original honey. then break the tip of the snail and extract it's fluid{snail water}.mix the materials together{snail water, original honey and banana stem water}.take two spoonful of it first thing in the morning before breakfast and last thing before going to bed consistently for maximum 30 days and by the grace of God your asthma is gone forever.
it's kind of messy but it's worth a try. I know you will thank God later.
