Excited cheesy made the national minimum wage ×2 despite the heavy down pour, when many businesses struggled to break even.

Some days after work, I be searching my car and pockets, thinking that I've misplaced money.

You'll make 12k in a day.
7k on uber..
5k on Taxify..

3k card trip on uber..
2k card trip on Taxify..
2.5k transfer...
1k on food, water, airtime..

Time to buy fuel, you'll be looking for all these money like..

Can't b grateful enough dat I'm home ard 6pm today, it was such a day I don't know if I should place bad or good, but at a point I'll trade all just to be home... Around 12 I was at grammar SCH when this request (1.6) going to mariner beep, didn't know she was going into d market. On our way I saw the still traffic from Berger to the tip of oworo bridge, despite driving against it, I can't shake off the thought about how am I going to reach home today, end up dropping rider and enter into dose cb guys wahala, my offence I honestly don't know, the flood, rain and everything, thought off going back home just left me restless like who send me, I should have just stay back home like Cooladex and other drivers, but I felt like going to lere to chill with friends... My offence, deh said I beat traffic light, while I tot they jumped in front of me cos of one way (I honestly did not see any traffic light, not even before driving away from the spot ard martins street, as I was using d car in front of me to measure one way, whenever he cut, I follow). Flood everywhere and all I care about was to get the car out of the flood first before facing them, las las I didn't even bother wasting my time talking to the guy, just ask him what do you want? He said "if I do normal no problem", provokely I don't know when I handed over d 4k in the holder to him, the guy took it and even offer to help me get out of the flood. Drove down to Awolowo way and got a request to ICM, I drove through eko bridge, the kind of traffic I saw at fadeyi to Maryland made me to cringe, the whole of Ojota was completely block, how I got out of those traffic still left me marvel

In brief, if you stayed back today, you honestly lost nothing, forget the surge's, deh r mere trap. Total gross today was just 8400, but with fear and heavy heart, cos I honestly don't know what's in front of me.

Sorry bro.
Some days are like that.

I came out 11am today. Had 3trips and ran back home cos of what I was seeing on the map.

I spent 3hrs on a trip from oshodi to Egbeda. ...spent about 1hr on a stand still traffic.
Lucky that rider was carrying a baby and she said no AC. So my engine was off for that 1hr.

I think they mean surge of water

Ever lifted boss, just felt bad, I know some rules and let my anger get the best of me.... Yesterday was sat, most of those guys on the road r not on official duty, even ticketing is till Monday, anything! anything!! They will take, but I just hate the sight of them or having altercations. One was busy shouting don't take anytin from him, office straight, I just crack a smile (initial gra gra), to me, they r just like take, let me b.

My greatest concern now is lekki flood, still don't know how I gross 70k without driving to lekki or paying tolls. Interesting week to say.

I don’t know why, but now I’m enjoying the platforms because I now choose when to drive.
Those bonuses are like rat race, no one wins it. And some strategy and idea a driver has may reduce his performance and income. For new drivers:

Eg:

1-You know all those drivers you met at inspection, that told you night driving would give more money cos there will be surge .... lmao! Na lié.

Spoilers: for a surge to happen , there must be a higher demand than supply. And at night , trust me , runz girls and party guys no reach drivers wey wan hustle. You’ll end up being tired , and less active when needed.

2- Chasng surge ; I know they told us all that surge is sweet and happens when drivers are not in a particular area.

Spoilers: yes it may be so, but with the massive pool of drivers , is rare not to have drivers in a place that will amount to very high surge . Surge usually happens when issues like traffic , flooding , or a very non motorable area has requests which may have stopped drivers from reaching there. It is a good way to make extra money , but keep all these in mind. No run from bicycle come Jan trailer abeg.

3- asking for ratings: I know they told you to request for rating right? My idea is , offer a good service , regardless of whom you’re serving. Trust me, not all will still like u, but yes , some will. Hopefully they remember to rate u.

Spoilers: people find it easier to give bad ratings than good. So just do yours and leave the rest.

And above all, remember when u were in your car sleeping , waiting for night rides, someone is in his house sleeping. And in the morning , when people are really “surging” out. With those headaches u have , that person that rested will have a better chance of cashing out the next day more than u....

Best of luck .

Oh lord, this Elantra has suffered the rainy days with me, let us enjoy our fruit of labour.

I declined one rider (consistent client) offEr to take her to Eko Atlantic(offline ), and picked this one.

This kind trip “take me to mountain top university, iyana ipaja n back to Maryland “ for 20k is what I want o.

Man was so nice (all these American returnee) , He bought meal n told me to chill at the mountain of fire restaurant. Man even said I could turn AC off to conserve my fuel (I politely declined)...... not all these iyana ipaja or Oniru girls that will pay 1,500 despite their bad roads and still act like oga join.

By the way , I got this client from a former rider.... be nice , be nice , be nice to them! Regardless of what they do, you may not know where connect will come from!

Goodness and mercy shall follow us all...

Bros me... Me sef na semi JJC, have been to Abj several times but I don't know must of the routes. However, I believe GPS Navigator can come in handy.

Besides, I have wanted to ask the gray haired elders in the trade, please which Navigation App is most accurate for JJCs like me. So that I can navigate without making a rider feel bad, as I know some riders may get weird attitudes if one doesn't know their way around town.
